If I go, and you will all know if I do, I want you all to party like Rock Stars...for a solid week. Pop Tarts and Ice Cream in my honor...even if you don't know me...just use it as an excuse. Lie..say we were the best of friends and you have to comfort eat. It's ok...I give you permission.

I too made it a point to give those closest to me on here my contact info, as well my mom's, my dad's, boyfriend and email addresses. And added some to FB.

I'm going to add that to my will.

So my A.D.D. got me to thinking.... If I die, none of my fitness pals will know. That's kinda sad..

I feel like the people I know in 3D don't log in enough to know how important ya'll are to me, and wouldn't think to inform you.

but I guess, it wouldn't matter anyway... i could be a 10 year old boy for all ya'll know right?

Just don't die, silly girl.

I made a plan last year, not even joking. These are not just random people to me - these are people I consider friends and friends even if they are in a computer are important to me.

That's why I friended people on FB. It's highly unlikely that my ENTIRE family would be wiped out. Someone would post it on my FB page guaranteed.

*stiff upper lip* it has happened. and we found out. our loved ones know that this place is important.

plus, my two bestest buddies on the PLANET are here, so they would let y'all know.

Soo crazy, I was thinking about this the other day.

Me too. And there are a few of my MFP friends who I know I'd be worried about if I see that they haven't logged in for weeks/months, for various reasons. :frown:

    simple solution
    1. lawyer
    2. will
    3. stipulation and account information in will for a person you know to log in and post "I died"

This made me giggle. No nice, heartfelt, this wonderful person passed away. Just I died.

Yeah... both of my sisters are members too, though, they aren't as active as I am. I'm sure my younger sister would eventually get around to posting on my wall here even if I hadn't friended people on FB.

If we're talking about who I think we are, she's still on mine, too. I posted on her wall just a few weeks ago.

I just said this actually. That was THE single hardest part about leaving my old account, although I still have her blog, and I still have her FB page thing but its not the same. ~le sigh~ I miss her so frucking much.

Who is the 'she' you all are talking about? She may be on my friend list that I've been wondering about.
  • I don't know if this has already been suggested, but there are...ways. :)

    http://ifidie.org/

There are other similar services too.

You could also let your family members know who you would like contacted in such an event.

when I first heard about it through MFP, I really thought it was someone's idea of a joke...but she lived in the same state and I saw the obituary.
