Good afternoon ladies! Since I was having a lazy day and I was still sore from yesterday's workout I decided to keep it light today. I had to return a movie to the redbox which is at my local grocery store and instead of driving all the way there I parked at the Walgreen's and walked there and back for a total of 2 miles. It was blazing outside so I was so happy to return to the house. I decided to skip the book club meeting and continue to lounge.

Today was my 2nd time running on the streets of GA. Even at 9 am, it was extremely hot and humid therefore I was never able to catch a good stride. I completed the 1st mile in about 9 minutes 30 seconds but had to take begin walking b/c the humidity was sucking the air out of me. So between running and walking I was able to complete 2.5 miles in 26 minutes (plus a 4 minute cool down). When this workout was complete I was dripping w/sweat and absolutely exhausted. I returned home, showered and made a yummy banana/chocolate protein shake w/2 slices of whole wheat toast.

So, after being stuck at 210 for THREE weeks, I lost 5 pounds this week! It was nice to see the scale move again! We made it to the pool 5 days this past week. I am loving all the calories swimming with the kiddos burns! This week, my goals are to stay under my calories every day, and exercise at least 6 days, whether it is going to the pool or taking a walk.

I am so in for this. I have lost 22 pounds since October, but need to get that last 8 pounds off.
In the past 2 months I have not lost an ounce (well lost a pound and got it back)
This may be my motivation if I need to weigh in each week and be accountable!

After a week at my dad's house, I actually LOST a pound! I couldn't believe it! It was a great week. We all had tons of fun. I didn't get in 2 miles EVERY day, but I did pretty good. I opted to NOT take the kids swimming. I took the kids to my cousin's house to play everyday, and she had her nieces (her DH's sister's kids). We decided it was TOO much for the two of us to take 6 kids (2 2yos, 2 5yos and 2 grade schoolers) to the pool.

This week my challenge is to get in 30 minutes (minimum) on my Wii Fit each day. My master classes start Friday. Once that happens, I will be concentrating more on maintaining and not gaining. My classes are done on July 9. During that time, I may not (or if the class is boring enough I MAY:laugh: ) be around here as much. I also won't be able to weigh in during that time:ohwell: I will be able to catch one on July 3 or 4, and I will try to do one last one on Thursday before I leave.

I hope everyone sees success while I'm gone!:flowerforyou:

Welcome to all the new people! We are glad to have you!

New "Challenge" for all of us! I challenge us to tell a little bit about ourselves. I'll start.

I am 31 yo. I am mom to 2 beautiful kids. Ray will be 3 the end of this month. Ruth is 5 1/2. I teach music (band and choir) to 6th-12th graders in a SMALL rural district. We live in another small rural town. We sport a gas station, but that's about it. We drive at least 20 minutes for groceries, which makes planning a MUST. I live on the east edge of town and it is exactly one mile to the west edge of town. We have made exercise time family time. We try to walk across town and back every night (sometimes with a stop at the city park).

I joined MFP last August after being told about it by my aunt and sister. My husband joined at the same time I did. We've made small changes all along the way. Through the course of this school year I've seen 12 more family members, as well as 4 friends, join. Collectively we've lost 508 lbs (although I do know that some have not updated their weight in awhile).

    What about you?

Wow! Even with the Race for the Cure being cancelled due to lightening & my brothers' 40th b-day party (which I had no alcohol & only one chocolate covered cake ball), Aunt Flo showing up, and my complete laziness of a day yesterday.....still had an awesome week of being a LOSER!

This week I'm going to do my belly dancing workouts again every morning, attempt C25k AGAIN, Zumba on Wednesday, and throw in a few Jillian Shred's as well. Hopefully if it doesn't rain all week I'll get some bike rides in as well. I'd like to be down a few more pounds by Friday.....just because!

I'm 24yo (bday is 8/4 woot woot) and married my high school best friend, Nick, 1 1/2yrs ago. We started officially dating in Feb 03 but have known each other since we were 10yo. We don't have any human kids, just our fur and scale babies: Shadow is our 3 1/2yo mini long haired doxie and Wasser is our 7yo bearded dragon. I'm currently unemployed but I did work for Home Depot for 4yrs (2 as a head cashier and 2 as a flooring/deor specialist). When I was 7yo, I was accidentally shot in the arm by my uncle who thought someone was breaking into his house and for many years, I've been very distant with people, including all family members and just recently (within the last 3yrs) slowly started to come around more and be more outgoing. I live about 30min away from St Louis, Mo on the IL side. I'm lucky to live a mile away from both a Walmart and the local mall, which I walk to one of them at least every other day. I have 2 younger brothers, Drew who will be 13 in August (12yrs and 12days younger than me) and Tyler who just turned 10yo in Feb. I also have 2 brothers-in-law, Chris who's 22 and Stephen who's 16 (and is my husbands shadow, I swear!) I am a crafty person, I'm always looking to make new things. I was painting up wooden boxes and such, then started crotching purses (I just learned how this Feb).

    My name is Katie.

I'm 22 from Ontario, Canada. I am currently a university student who is working on a co-op term. I have been overweight for most of my life and now I'd like a change.

I really enjoy playing ultimate frizbee so I'm hoping that it will help get me into track with losing weight and getting used to exercising again.

Hmm, about me...well, my name is Trisha, I am 28 and live in Arkansas (where it is also HOT NOW). I have been married for 8 years to one of my high school friends (never thought we would be married back then lol). I have 4 kids, 2 boys ages 7 and 2, and 2 girls ages 5 and 4. I also have 2 Pomeranians who are my babies. I am working on my BA in Accounting, then looking into a MBA.

Everyone is doing great! Keep up the good work!

Accomplishment for the week: two hikes and not-as-regular exercise video workouts during the week. Challenges: I'm just feeling overly tired due to other things, and it makes it harder to stick to my exercise and eating goals and to feel good about the slight progress I've already made. Two pounds a week sounded reasonable, but now I'm wondering whether I should have stuck with one. My goal for the next week: making myself push through my grumpy mood to stick with the program.

Up one lbs :( its okay. I've changed my workout and this week even adding one more. I need to figure out my nutrition with the new worout plan. I don't track my workouts here b/c I do it thru the Beachbody site and I don't have a HRM so I don't want to track it wrong here. I'm feeling stronger and more defined, so its all good.

    My about me....

I am single, never married with no kids. Not that I don't want either one. I just haven't found the right one yet! Hopefully my future hubby will find me soon! I'm 38 and am hoping to be fat free at 40, which is in 16 months.

I work at a collection agency, so I sit at a desk on the phone all day long. I'm tired of being the pretty fat girl. I'm sure a lot of us are!

I have owned my home for six years now & love making it my own. I'm still working on some remodeling, but as we all know that takes money, so its a work in progress! Thankfully I just have the master bedroom & master bath left to do, so no one else sees that! LOL I love working out in my yard. I have tons of flowers & am always adding to them.

My most favorite thing to do is to sit in the sun & read a book in my pool. However with all the rain this year, and my motivation to get fit, I've put that on the back burner this year!

I have one older sister, and one older brother. My brother has the 3 best kids in the world that I love to death. Thankfully they feel the same way. I get to have them whenever I want. Love, love, love those kids!

I love to travel as much as my wallet lets me and have been several places. My next trip is on a cruise with family & a bunch of friends in October. We're going to Puerto Rico, St Thomas, Antigua, Tortola, and Nassau this time. I've been to St Thomas & Nassau, so I'm really looking forward to the other 3 as well. We always have such a fun time!

I am a scuba diver, but my buddy got married & neither of us have went diving since  I trusted him a lot, so I'm scared to try a new dive buddy. Believe it or not I am very afraid of sharks & eels & sea snakes, yet I still dive. Funny I know. I just always felt safe with him diving with me.

I love to camp, love hiking, boating, biking....pretty much anything outdoors really. I used to be a downhill ski instructor in college, but haven't went skiing in years. I'm hoping this winter, with some weight off I can teach my neice & nephews how to ski!

Okay, I'm 36 and live in St. Charles, MO right outside STL. I am married with three boys 10, 6 and 3. Work p/t as a medical transcriptionist. I love to read books, fantasy, mystery mostly. I also play soccer a couple nights a week as well as run three times a week. Right now, it is hot and humid here so I usually take to the gym. Running in humid weather gives me headaches. I am a fair-weather outdoor runner :)
