    A work colleague, who only had relatively little to lose, lost weight quickly. She is almost exactly the same age as me. Before the diet she had nice skin but after she looked ten years older practically overnight. She was quite haggard although this has improved over the following couple of years. I am losing the weight quite slowly, supposed to be a pound a week but I regularly miss the targets for cals and lose less. Even so, my face looks older. My jawline has improved, which is good considering I'm 56 but I do look older and more tired in general despite feeling much healthier. I think the youthful appearance is an illusion. The extra fat plumps things out and disguises what was really there all along. So we are just getting back the faces nature intended us to have at this age. I don't like it but I accept it. It's worth it to have better health and general appearance in my opinion.

    great job... I am kind of at a stand still... I have been at the 74 pound mark for about 6 weeks now... I am being patient b/c this too will pass and the scale will start moving...
