I am curious to know what everyone's sizes are compared to their weight and height. This is something I get really hung up on, and I know I shouldn't, but just to see where everyone else is at, please post:
5'10", 145 lbs, size 9
5'10", 145 lbs, size 9

The only problem is that sizes are different in other countries.
I come from the UK, am 5ft 7" tall, 166lbs at the moment and in a size 14 (UK size) which, I hasten to add is now becoming loose yay!!!0 -
I'm generally a UK size 10 but i can range between an 8 and a 12 depending on the shop.0

Im 5'7" 139lbs and can either wear a 2, 4, or 6 depending on who makes the cloths.... i want to be a solid 2 again no matter what!0

I'm in the U.S. - 5'8'' 150 pounds and about a size 10...some places a 12. I have an hourglass figure also, so my size is never going to be really small because of my hips. Which is A-OK with me0

I'm 5'7'' and 220 pounds. I'm usually a US size 16.0

This is why I don't buy into the whole size thing. I'm 5'7 and 130 and wear a solid 6. No way I could fit into a 4 or 2.
Too many manufacturers have vanity sizing these days.0 -
Im in the UK. I am 5'6 and 113lbs. Depending on the shop I can be a size 6 all the way up to a 12!0

5' 1 1/2", 140 lbs and a size 8 mostly--occassionally I can wear a size 6-- a really big 6, LOL.0
-
I'm 5'4" and i can either fit into a 14 or 16 US depending on the store.0

I am 5' 4" 140 lbs. I wear a 4 or 6. I don't really have a butt and I think that is why, lol. But whatever.....0

Ok, so I am 5'3 and I am declining to state my weight (sheepish about that) but I will tell you that I am in the 120's and I wear anywhere from a 0-4 depending on the clothing brand. I carry most of my weight in my booty, so the best jeans I find for my fit are the Gap Curvy Flare and those run on the large side, hence the smaller size. Does that make sense? I need new Citizens and 7's but I am waiting until I loose the rest of the weight to try them on, so I don't know what size I would wear... in tops, I am def a small or extra small. Bra size is 32C. I think it just depends on body type, really!0

I'm 5' 3/4" 143 pounds, I can wear anywhere form 9-11... 11 NEEDS a belt, 9 is getting there!
Need new shoes b/c they're now about 1/2 inch too big, woulda thunk eh! Got 'em for Christmas from the hubs... It's about a 45 pounds loss since then.. apparently some of that was from my feet!0 -
I've realized that its better not to be hung up on a size. My goal weight is 140, because when I was 140 before I got married, I was a size 6/8. Now, because I have more muscle tone, I may end up needing to have my wardrobe taken in. Right now I'm a 8/10/12 at 169. The only thing i'm a 12 in though are jeans and pants. Skirts are all size 8/10 already. My goal is really to be healthy and lean. I don't want to be skinny bc I personally don't find it attractive and I don't want to have to struggle to always stay super skinny. I'd rather be healthy and happy at my weight.0

Oh, and I forgot to say that I am 5'4"0

I'm 5ft6, 150 lbs and wear a UK size 10/12.0

5ft 3inches and 109 pounds. My size ranges from 0-3. It's totally dependent on the brand of clothes.
While lots of us can fixate on numbers, whether it be the scale or the clothing size, I really try to focus on my body composition more now that I've lost my extra pounds. That's a hard adjustment to make.0 -
I am 5'5 and I weigh 211 and I wear a size 18-20 I carry most of my weight in my hips and thighs. Back when I weighed 150 (about 4 yrs ago) I wore an 11/12.0

:flowerforyou: Hi there, I'm 5 ft 6.5 (that half is extra important to me) lol...and weight 171lb
Currently a size 14 (UK)...managed to move down from a 16! wahey!0 -
Hi,
I was UK size 12 on top and 14 for trousers, & skirts. I'm 5" 4 and have lost 12 pounds with MFP.
NOW I'm 153 and think I'm a 10 on top hand yipee a size12 lower half.
It's a great feeling having lose clothing. And getting to smaller trousers and shorts.

Hello,
I'm 6'0" tall. 174 lbs. I'm a size 10, some places I'm a size 12. I hate that. I would be soo happy being a size 8 thats what I'm going for. I know I'm already in healthy range. And I'm really tall and have ton of curve and muscle so weight is not that big of a deal (although 165 would be great!) but I just want to be a size 8.

Well I'm not sure where I fit in all of this. I am 5'6 1/2 and I weigh 176.6lbs. My bra size is 38 C and I have now begun to wear a size 8/10, of course that depends on the brand name too. However, I can't seem to understand why after a 20lb wt loss I can wear a size 8, but anyone else who is either larger, taller or even wearing a size 16 weighs much less. Bones, maybe? Not sure, but I would love to weigh at least 145, who know what size I will be able to get into then. Besides, the sizes nowadays comparable to 10-15 years ago have added inches just to make people feel better about their sizes. I remember when I wore a size 8 and I was only 141lbs then. Yep and even at 150, I wore a size 9/10. What do you think?0
-
I'm 5'4 about *almost* 185lbs, I currently wear a 14. I recently just fit into a 12 (yay me!) but I don't think I'm ready for ALL 12's just yet. I've tried on size 12 shorts, NOT PRETTY! It's mostly my thighs | I think I could probably manage a size 12 in jeans, but it's just tooooo dang hot.0

I'm 5' 4" and 120 pounds. I wear anything from a 0 to a 5 depending on the brand.0

Slightly off topic, hope you don't mind, but I'm sure someone here can explain something to me. My male brain understands lofts of golf sand wedges etc but not certain other things.
What is the waist measurement of jeans derived from? I take a size 33" Levis and have for ages, though now they feel a bit sloppy and I could probably look at 32" next time I buy some. I definitely don't huff and puff or suck anything in to wear them, if anything they are a bit big.
Anyway recently I measured myself everywhere possible trying to figure what bit of me was 33". But no matter which circumference I tried, like hips, waist, etc the measurements seemed to measure more than my jeans waist size. Huh? Where does that 33" measurement come from?
Reason this is important, a friend is sending some Levis from the States (more variety, better quality, cheaper etc) and she said, "Are you sure you're 33. That sounds skinny, my men are much more than that." And I'm thinking "surely Levis measurements are the same anywhere in the world?" That's what started me on my measurement thing. And I'm confused. One thing, my butt and hips are defintely small. I still carry some fat on my stomach but not a real lot.
Ladies, which bit of me should I be measuring?0 -
5'2"
154 lbs.
Pants/skirts are usually a 10. If I wanted to wear skinny jeans (which would look completely ridiculous on me with my booty and...um...generous thighs) I'd probably need a 12. I'd like to shift things down a notch and be more of a consistent 4/6, with an occasional 8 if it's a very tight cut.
Chest and waist are smaller; usually I wear a small. Sometimes medium. Those mediums are starting to get a little big!0 -

Hi that would be the waist, be careful though as US sizing is different from UK sizing - however, if you say you are a 33 and the jeans from the US are 33, they have to be 33 and that's that (if you see what I mean  )0
