I average around 1400 (NET) so that is what my goal is set to, but some days its 1200 and some days its 1600. I like the flexibility of "saving" up some calories if I'm not feeling hungry, and then taking advantage of that to have something yummy or more calorically dense the next day. and I like the freedom of knowing that if i REALLY have the munchies, it's ok to go "over" and not beat myself up about it, as long as I make up for it over the next day or two.
    I'm 5ft3, 206lbs. I exercise 4-5 days a week, but just brisk walking for about 50 minutes.

I am on maintenance - I net 1620 most days, and eat back all my exercise calories, which means I end up eating an average of about 2000 calories per day. I am 5'5 1/2", 130 pounds, 42, and I run about 25-30 miles per week, plus 1-3 kettlebell workouts. I am fairly sedentary other than my workouts, since I work on computers.

When I was losing, I started at 1200, and then eventually upped it to around 1400 and still lost at the same rate, always eating back all my exercise cals.

I shoot for about 1200-1400 calories daily, though I walk an awful lot due to lack of a car so I'm burning anywhere from 200 to 500 calories daily. The last couple of days I've been taking long walks downtown, so I've been burning about 500, which gets me to only 700-800 calories or so net. I'll be sure to fix that up starting tomorrow. :I

    I'm maintaining at 1350 calories.

    5'1"
    102 pounds
    Age 58

I exercise moderately, mostly on my treadmill about 4 times a week and daily dog walks. I get my 10,000 steps a day (fitbit calculated) and I use my fitbit calories burned data to help determine my TDEE. I feel great and I am rarely hungry.

I calculated mine using this calculator from funeralformyfat! Forgot what her MFP name is but here's her tumblr and direct link to the calculator!

    http://funeralformyfat.tumblr.com/eatingenough

Mine is around 1400 with no exercise. When I work out, I eat extra calories that equals the amount that I burnt. Mine is set to lose about 0.5-1kg per week! I don't feel hungry all the time with this calorie goal and still manage to lose some weight (when i do stick to it :/ )

Mine has 1260 I think. That's too low for me personally. I am going to raise it to 1400. I work out 7 days a week for an hour, sometimes I will take a day off and rest. I am 21, 5'6", and 220lbs.

Those that are eating UNDER 1200 calories; you guys seriously need to eat more. That is all I am going to say...

I am 5'2", eating roughly between 1700-1900 depending on the day. I seem to be losing weight now that my body has finally adjusted to all the change.

I might be eating to few calories, but ever since i started this diet, I've done a bunch of changes with the food i bring into my apartment and cook for myself... I'm actually never hungry anymore. I eat a bowl of cereal with fresh strawberries and banana and almond milk, I have a protein bar for lunch or a salad, and for dinner I normally baked chicken, drumsticks or wings with steamed veggies. When I snack its on Quaker Pops (So Yummy) or baby carrots... I also drink like 5 or 6 bottles of water...

I eat about 1000 calories. I work out 4 or 5 times a week burning about 450 calories.

unless you have some medical reason, like a thyroid problem....
there is no "might" about it, you can (and should) absolutely eat more. lots of people feel the same way you do... natural healthy foods are much more filling and we have the mindset of eat as little as we can in order to lose weight so why eat more? One answer to why is that you need more than calories, you need nutrition and it's hard to get that on 1000 a day. Also, you need energy to fuel your body, and 1000 just isn't enough, even if you were sitting on the couch all day. To add calories without necessarily eating more, try to add some more calorically dense foods to your menu: avocado, nuts & nut butters, full fat instead of low-fat items are some examples. Really, you'll feel better.

Also new and figuring it all out.

MFP has me at 1200 NET but this seems low so I don't worry tpoo much if I go a couple hundred over, especially on exercise days. I try stay below 1500 NET and this should have me lose 1.4lb per week (according to MFP).

Started around 1300 and was lightly active. When I began the Insanity program, I was too tired and hungry all the time so I upped it to 1500 and I feel much better! I've heard month 2 of Insanity is super tough so gonna up it to 1675 once I get there - my TDEE minus 500 cals.

    Height: 5'3"
    SW: 140 in January
    CW: 129
GW: 120 would be amazing, but I'm more concerned about how toned I look and how my clothes fit :)

ETA: I don't have regular access to a scale so I'm not sure how much I weigh now, but since starting Insanity and upping my calories I've had much more "skinny" days and less "bloated yucky" days :D

Currently at 1700. I was at 2000 the first month, then drop it to 1800 for two months. I am on the go with my job but i still work out about five days a week. I am 5'2" and 33 yrs old. I will see how I do at 1700 for at least a month and then lower it by 100 cal. or stay.
I burn about 2700-3300 calories a day according to my body media.
