Nine and a half stone0

I have a naturally slim build so my goal weight is between 140-150...whatever looks/feels good0
-
5-8.5 here. Aiming for 155 and will re-evaluate whenever I get there.0
-
I'm 5'9 and down to 143lbs now I wouldn't want to go any lower than 140lbs though I don't think. I am happy at this weight so want to continue to maintain it .0
-
I'm 5'10" or just under and my goal weight is 160-165. I don't think I could happily maintain anything less than that and be well-balanced person and have a healthy relationship with food. I've never been really in shape before, so that is also a huge goal for me. Anxious to see what I'll look like at 165 after working out for several months!0

My comfy weight (and the weight my body loves and doesn't ever want to leave!) is 180. It's been tricky at me to stay below 175... ultimately I'd love to get comfy at 155-165!!!
I have a medium/large frame and am pretty muscular.
I found that my body has continuiously "re-set" my "set point". I was as 180 and for a long time my body seemed happy at 165. Then it was 155 and now I feel like it is not going to be so hard to push down 5 more lbs to my goal of 140.
This ONLY started happening to me when I started intense exercise and varied exercise.
I dropped off MFP for a solid 4 weeks due to surgery and was terrified of the scale. During those 4 weeks I did no exercise and ate garbage. I went up from 144 to 148 and I just got serious this last week again and my weight is dropping like a rock. I would have blown up if I had not been exercising like crazy leading up to surgery...it is like it takes my metabolism months to start to fire up, but then it takes quite a long time for it to slow down again.
At this point in time, I would really have to put in some serious damage to creep back up into the 155 range....a year ago, it would have only taken the tought of fast food to make me gain weight.0 -
Im 5'11 and my goal weight is 180!0

I'm 5'8" and 159, with my target being 145. That being said, my body shape does NOT carry weight very well - I don't gain "all over," I gain in very select and specific areas.
Goal weights should be wherever your body looks and feels the best; I personally perform better athletically and look "correct" when I'm a little lighter. If you feel good and look good, maybe that's your goal weight.0 -
Currently, my goal weight is 180. The smallest I've been (without looking anorexic) was 150. I'm curvy and I lost alot of my curves when I was lower than 180. At 180, I was toned except my stomach no matter how much I worked on abdominals. If I can get to a toned 170 (all over) that would be ideal. 8)0

I'm 5'9 and am shooting for 160! Im 172 now0

I'm a little taller at 5'11'' and currently 172 or so...will find out tomorrow! But my ultimate goal weight would be 150...don't know if I'll reach that. But I guess I'll go to wherever my body takes me at eating 1600-2000 cal/day and doing sports/gym 3-6 days/wk. I'm guessing right now it'll be about 155-160.0

I'm 5'9.5" and 38. I started at 204. My first goal is 183 - where I was two years ago after a good weight loss (starting weight then - 209). I'm currently at 183.2. My next goal is 174. That's half-arbitrary (same weight as my shorter-than-me husband) and also where I was 10 years ago after a loss (from 202). From what I can remember, I liked 174. That was 10 years ago though, so I might have to go a little lower in order to see myself the same.
Right now, 183.2 feels pretty good. I'm getting away with wearing the clothes I already have, but have purchased some new things (rewards). I probably should buy some smaller work clothes, but, unless most ladies, I don't want to have to buy lots of new clothes! (Sorry for the stereotype!!!) The only thing that gets me down is that people aren't noticing. I feel like I really see a difference, so I don't understand why others don't. But I know it doesn't matter about others - just me (Maybe it's because my clothes are a little loose? Could be.)
That being said, I'm just going to keep going for a while... see what happens. I've seen a few comments that said something about being in a good zone where going on vacation won't make or break me. If I could stay below 190 for the rest of my life, I will be really happy! Hopefully once I get below 180, I'll restate that to say "if I could stay below 180 for the rest of my life..."
Thank you for this topic. It's been so helpful.0 -
My goal is 160 - 165 which I think is a great weight for being 5'9". However, I'm just looking forward to getting under 200 at this point!
This^ is me to a T. What she said.0 -
5"9 and wanting to be 135lb, currently 169lb.0

I am 5'11" and I use to weigh 320 lbs. I lost 140 pounds dieting and exercising like a crazy person, problem with that... I ended up gaining about 65lbs back. I am trying my fitness pal and hoping to do a complete lifestyle change. My goal weight for my body type is currently 190, WHEN I achieve that I will update my goal again.0

5'9 current target 160 - 165, but 150-155 would be great. Any lower is too skinny IMO.0

I should say "for me" lower than 150 is too skinny.0 -
Well, I am 5'7, 'large' frame, started at 187, down to 158, aiming for 140'ish and then to TONE so probably will add a few pounds of muscle, so maybe 145. But overall, the goal is HEALTHY, have to see when I get there.0

195 is where I look best and feel best. When I weighed less than that, I looked ill-shaped because of my hips and legs always being thicker... I'm in a size 16 comfortably now but want to be in a 12 or a 10 at most.0

Hi! I'm 5'9" and my lightest adult weight was 135lbs. just about two years ago. I've been focusing on building muscle and I'm now trying to cut back to about 138lbs. for bikini season. Right now I'm at 143lbs. and trying to watch my macros as much as possible to get that 5lbs off. Don't think I would ever want to be less than 135lbs. on my frame0

I used to be 5'11" but due to disc compression I'm 5' 9". I am shooting for 180. That's 110 lbs for me. One day at a time.0

My first goal is 176...I remember 179 in high school, and would like to be below that number! The BMI says I need to be under 169, so I'll see how I feel in my skin when I reach my first goal!:flowerforyou:0

Ditto this! I think at my thinnest, I was 140 and was too thin for me. I also think 160-165 is where I can maintain/sustain in the long run.0 -
164 now And goal is 135-140, where I used to be before I got pregnant. Daughter is 12 weeks old.0

I'm 5'8.5". Starting weight was 183. Original goal was 160. After reaching that goal, I changed it to 150. I'm currently at 152 and now think I'll shoot for a goal of 147. I still have some jiggle to lose. I've been doing cardio and weight training. I will continue the cardio but probably increase the weight training to gain more muscle definition. I just bought a pair of size 8 Levi's.0
