  • Count me in! Weight loss has been very slow for the last month so I've registered for a 10k run at the end of October. Hoping the extra training will help with a boost!

    Hey! Thought I didn't make 5lbs for july but weighed this morning and was down another 1.4lbs, so that makes it 5.6lbs! So happy, I'd worked so hard! :)
    Hope everyone is excited about this month's challenge! I get really excited when I think about what weight I should be at each month! 5lbs always seems like a lot! :) I'll be at my goal weight in time for next summer if I can keep it up!

    Whenever is best for you, post your weekly weigh in numbers, we often post our struggles or advice and just all around support each other.





    I weighed in this morning (yay I didn't forget!!! LMAO) at 213.8. My official August weight. I am setting a personal goal to reach 206 by Aug 31st. I just may see 200 by September. Time to head out for my morning walk and keep moving throughout the day. I'll see ya all on and off this week.

    Having already decided last week Aug 1 was start date to really get serious about weight loss, I'm glad I found this site the other day.

    Staring weight 215.8
    august goal weight: 210.8
    total goal: 170

    I've also signed up for the just dance challenge to get me motivated with my exercise, so absolutely no excuses.

    So I woke up this morning, and I had lost a lb.... So can I count that toward August (this was a REALLY stubborn one, too!), or do I now I have to start from my new weight as of this morning? Probably from my weight this morning, huh? Phooey! LOL! If only I had waited a day, lol! Ah well, I should have known better! But that's ok.

    So I guess my new starting weight is 141.8 lbs, goal weight is 136.8 lbs (oh that would be AWESOME). That would put me 6 lbs from my overall goal of 130 :happy:

    I'm back and ready to go.:happy:
    Only lost one pound in July and that was amazing considering that I was on holiday in the states all month.

    We have my daughters wedding reception this Friday night so we are busy at my house getting all the last minute details taken care of.
    And it is HOT HOT HOT over here in Egypt. MAYBE I CAN JUST SWEAT OFF 5 POUNDS. :laugh: LOL Phyljen

    If anyone wants to join in on the BMK challenge for this week, either Bru or myself will have it posted later this evening or tomorrow morning. It starts every Monday & is just a little challenge between 3 of us on MFP that try to challenge each other each & every week. B is for Bru, M is for Melissa, & K for Kelly (me). Anyway feel free to join in if you want. It is 2 simple exercise challenges & a food challenge each week. Monday - Sunday.

    It will be posted later this evening or first thing tomorrow morning!

    I'm in, too...

    My starting weight is 159.2.... so, for this challenge, my goal is 154.2. The trickiest part for me is that my scale moved without me, and, starting this afternoon, will be a state away. Hopefully whatever scale I find will be kind. I may come back and modify my starting weight when I've gotten another scale (or found one to use).

    My starting for Aug 1 is 196.5 (up 1 from yesterday but I think it was all water due to disaster of yesterday).
    My goal is to actually be 190 by Sept 1st so I am really going to try and step it up.

    Off to a good start. Went for a 2 mile walk with the kids this morning. I never get out until after supper so today with be 2 walks :)
    I am feel so motivated and on track it is ridiculous. Planning on getting a Polar HRM today or tomorrow :)

    In like flinn again (7 lb loss for July) so hoping Aug will be just as good....welcome to all the new ones, I was new last month and like the others have said this is an amazing group and site, full of motivation and encouragement....the challanges keep you really motivated....and Kelly I will be joining the BMK challange again this week and like I said before...it gives you something to look forward and work too, so THANKS!!!

    Last week, my goal was just to track and not eat too much junk.
    This week, my goal is to exercise everyday.

    Walked the dogs 4 miles up and down a lil' mountain with a friend this morning.
    I'm playing tennis tomorrow night. I'm on my own for motivation the rest of the week, so far.
