Corset/ Waist training

I would love to do some mild waist training. I find corsets psychologically comforting even if they are physically unconformable at times.
I have two steel boned corsets - one under bust and one over-bust with a fabric halter neck.
I like the fashion aspect but they can look costume-y and make a lot of costumes look like "Slutty {whatever}".
I am not sure what to wear over my corsets for day-to-day wear as most fabrics are quite thin and would make it obvious I am wearing a corset.
Any ideas?0 -
Where do you ladies buy your corsets from?0

They look pretty, but I like being able to breathe freely!0

And I cannot vouch for their quality at all, but if you're on a budget this place seems okay.

I just ordered my long underbust steel boned corset from orchardcorset.com. it was only 63 bucks. Used a 15 percent off coupon and they had a free shipping promo going on. Pretty good deal, it usually retails for 200 plus. It's my first time waist training. I'm anxious to get it in the mail
I've never worn a corset before, so it should be interesting lacing it and trying it on!0 -

I don't waist train but I do own a few corsets and I love them I wear them for faire garb and fetish dress but it's such a relief when I finally take it off I don't think I could wear one all the time. Waist training is so fascinating, though!0

I don't waist train, but I own two steel boned, satin corsets. They're both gorgeous, but one's smaller than the other - my goal is to get back into it.0

waist training is something old school body builders used to do.. theory was it prevented/restricted core muscles.. I guess it worked for some.0

I love corsets... but he ones for show not the ones that actually cinch your waist down. Back in the days they use to break ribs with those things. Not sure if the modern ones would do that. I do know back in the day it was attractive if a man could get his hands around your waist and touch.
My waist is naturally 24" when I am at my goal (25 now) and I do not feel a need for it to be smaller. The lifted look a corset gives is lovely though.0 -
has anyone tried a corset from "What Kate Did" I've been drooling over their corsets but haven't taken the plunge yet.0

Ladies...I'm just gonna say ....

Please excuse the awkward look on my face. This is the only semi recent picture I have in a corset. Black and white DeadlyGirlz.corset I bought secondhand. It's the only one I have that isn't too large now.

I waist train.
In the past two months I gained 10 pounds, and can't fit into them at the moment. My youngest daughter suddenly passed away and I couldn't stop comfort eating. But I'm back on the bandwagon now, and am hoping to get back into my corsets before my new job starts. Not only do they help, over time, with permanent body shape adjustment (not weightloss, as it's just reshaping your soft tissues), but they CAN help in weight loss if fitted properly. Generally speaking, it's almost impossible to overeat in one because they restrict the torso in such a way that you get the 'full' trigger sooner. But they also tend to morph a woman into a more confident creature. You feel feminine and sexy... and I personally feel empowered when I wear them. They also make my clothes look better because they smooth out bulges where spandex shapewear fails.
Also, feel free to add me.0 -

QFT.
Admittedly the last corset I wore was for my wedding (it was a Vollers), but I used to wear them often for clubs/events. I was not into waist training.
My favorite corsets were from Gallery Serpentine, Dark Garden and Starkers. Maybe I will treat myself to a Puimond if I can lose another 30 pounds. This thread might give me some incentive to get my a** into gear, so thank you. :flowerforyou:
@Cait_Sidhe your photo is beautiful.0 -
This is the first steel boned corset I purchased and can just now get into it.

I love it so much, trying to wait until I lose a bit more before I purchase another steel-boned.0
