Does anyone normally have a snack between breakfast and lunch? If so, what? I just started an office job 8-5 so I'm trying to get a feel for when I should be eating on my new worker bee schedule.
Here is what works for me:
I make breakfast at home but don't eat it until I get to work. I make sure I have protein/carbs both for breakfast to help feel full longer. I always have a Greek yogurt and/or a piece of fruit available between breakfast and lunch in case I am hungry (I don't always eat these). Lunch is leftovers, a salad or a sandwich with more protein. More fruit, a piece of chocolate or the yogurt I didn't eat in the morning between lunch and leaving time. If I don't leave work starving to death, I have time to make something healthy when I get home. If I do leave work starving to death, I eat Doritos while I'm cooking.0 -

A ton of coffee and two eggs scrambled with pizza blend veggies, rolled up in deli turkey slices, and dipped in a little guacamole. This may have been the best breakfast I've eaten in weeks; I'm trying to get higher protein/lower carb (not for weight loss but for lasting energy while I'm working 16-hour days) and this really hit the spot.0
