Anyone who has struggled with weight loss knows that setting forward thinking goals can put a realistic damper on the whole process. Thinking about losing nearly 200 pounds can almost induce a panic attack. In three years I had lost and regained the same 50 lbs about three times. So weighing anything below 347lbs seemed impossible and improbable. 347 was my wall, that weight I could just never seem to get below.
410 lbs
200 pounds, it’s a huge number! I was starting at 410 lbs and thought just getting below that 347 would be amazing. So I set two mini goals to ease that number in my mind. The first goal was a number I hadn’t seen in three years, the 330’s and just for the hell of it my second goal was 299, just so I could finally say I was out of the 300’s.
Today, I can finally say I broke the 330’s. This morning I weighed in at 337 lbs. I had made it. Somehow I made it to a goal that I threw together, half expecting myself to fail, again. I weighed myself three times on different scales, expecting one of them to jump to 347. I stepped off the scale today crying for a new reason today, absolute shock and disbelief that it actual happened. I made my first goal.
