I like to have salad for breakfast. It usually consists of 4 boiled egg whites (70 cal)(with some seasoning ~15), a bowl of lettuce (30 cal), some carrot, tomato (30 cal) and boiled pumpkin (30 cal).
= 170 cals max.
I get quite anxious in the mornings and I find having something to dig into that is low calorie and filling up into lunch quite beneficial. I can than have a bigger lunch and enjoy it more.0 -
1-2 tbs grass fed butter, 1-2tbs MCT oil, coffee. Blend with a handheld blender. Trader Joe's no nitrate chicken sausage with mushrooms and onions mixed up and heated in a pan. Yummy breakfast.0

Proper homemade Swiss muesli
Soak 2 tbsps oats or oatbran with half a grated apple in a tupperware box overnight.
Next morning add to fruit berry compote, choice of nuts for crunch and organic natural yoghurt.
I make a tupperware box of compote for a week using 3 bags of frozen berries and Stevia to sweeten as it has zero calories. I make another box of oatbran for the week. Its so delicious and sometimes use the compote for pudding after dinner if I have nothing to hand.
I also have a huge pan of Bramley apples stewing at the moment sweetened with stevia to last the week.0 -
I make 1/2 C old fashioned oats using 1 & 3/4 C water,1Tbl chopped walnuts. Pour in a bowl steaming hot,sprinkle with 1 tsp mixed cinnamon & sugar.Let stand at least 15-20 mins.It forms almost a crust on top as it cools.So yummy!
I mix my own sugar/cinnamon mix,cause lots of cinnamon adds so much flavor. 250 cals0 -
My weekday breakfast which I eat at the office is oatmeal plain made with water, with flax seed for extra fiber, 1/2 a cut up apple in small chunks, cinnamon for flavor, I also eat the other 1/2 of apple and a cup of green tea caffeine in morning to get going. This whole meal is just over 200 calories jam packed with fiber lots of antioxidants, sugar from the apple gives a good burst of energy and the carbs in the oatmeal fuels me until lunch and who doesn't like the smell of cinnamon in the morning (reminds me of cinnamon rolls but much less calories).

On the weekend I love my eggs and bacon toast and a fruit but I will also throw in some french toast, pancakes, and on rare occasions a fruit smoothie0 -
Since you're not big on breakfast try eating non-breakfast food in the morning.
I've had 1/4 cup of homemade re fried beans on a small tortilla the last couple of days.0 -
Sometimes I just have my protein shake and then chop up 3 strawberries, 1/2 banana and 1/4 c blueberries in a bowl and eat that after I drink my shake....it's good for dessert too.....0

Banannas Pancakes
1 ripe Bananna , cup skin milk, tsp vanilla,
put it all in a blender, beat it. pour some into a spayed non stick pan. after a minute or so turn over. Easy0 -
Oatmeal with fresh berries cut and thrown in. It is low calorie and helps lower cholesterol (I have been eating this every weekday morning for a year and my total cholesterol has gone from 197 to 111.)0

Steel cut oats.... Once cooked, toss in a yogurt for flavor! Taste much better than it sounds0

Cut the crust off 6 slices of your bread of choice, spray a 6 cup muffin tin and use the bread to line the cups. Half fill them with chopped ham, spinach, mushroom, corn, roasted capsicum... whatever floats your boat. Crack an egg into each of them (dont break the yolk unless you prefer them that way), top with some grated parmesan and oven bake until the egg is set.
They are tasty, portable, good hot or cold, easily reheatable and easy to make in different varieties.0 -
I don't think I could eat fried food in the morning even if I forced myself. Oatmeal with vanilla rice milk, and sometimes I add bits of dark chocolate. Best thing in the world. Then a little later I have some fruit or soy yogurt.0

Miso paste in some boiling water, lemon zest, fresh ginger root, bok choy, half a packet of udon noodles (and sometimes add about 1/4 block of tofu).
Mmm... I have this for dinner too at the moment, with some thinly sliced white fish added as well as extra veg like courgette and red capsicum.0 -
How about- scrambled egg with a bunch of spinach sauteed and a bit of feta cheese rolled into a small tortilla or an english muffin.
Cottage cheese or plain yogurt with some sort of fruit is one of my favorite too.0 -
The best thing I ever discovered about breakfast is that it's just whatever food you eat after not eating over night (i'e: breaking your fast). It does not have to be "breakfast food".
It could be cheese, crackers and a few raw carrot sticks, or a plate of leftover salad with a chunk of fish or chicken on top. Or a cup of lentil soup. Or a small baked potato (microwaved) with salsa and cottage cheese. Or a ham sandwich. I like leftover potato and egg salad. Whatever is A) available, appealing to you, and C) not a total calorie or fat bomb, is fair game. For best results, include some protein food.....

scrambled egg, a sausage (cooked, and cut up or crumbled) a slice of cheese (I like the Kraft Cracker Barrel Swiss slices) rolled into a spinach tortilla and grilled on a panini press.
Great after a workout, and keeps me full for a long time.0 -
tomorrow oats (or some call them over night oats) 1/2 cup oats, 1 container of dannon light n fit greek yogurt (any flavor) and half a cup of water, mix in a closeable container, let sit overnight, and enjoy a yummy nutritious breakfast the next morning serve with your fav fruit if you'd like A variation is to make it with milk instead of water... without milk its 230 calories Sorry no pic for this one
Strawberries n cream french toast

Philadelphia - Cream Cheese, Whipped, 4 tbsp
dannon light n fit greek yogurt (Strawberry or vanilla), 6 oz
Strawberries - Raw, 6 small (1" dia)
Eggs - Whole, raw, 2 large
Nature's Own - 100% Whole Wheat Bread 6 Slices
whole wheat bread dipped in an egg and low fat milk (add cinnamon in this part if you like), fry in pam, slice up some strawberries place one piece of french toast on the plate, mix cream cheese and dannon light n fit vanilla or strawberry greek yogurt and put on the bottom piece spread with sliced strawberries, top with 2nd piece of french toast, slice in half to make 2 triangles best french toast ever and only 223 cals

One of my favs is a toasted multi grain English muffin with a large poached egg, 2 slices of prosciutto, and 2 tbsp of mashed avocado.

I got this little breakfast sandwich maker for my birthday in April. You can make a healthier version of a McMuffin type sandwich at home.
Takes 4 minutes to cook.
Lately I use a multigrain english muffin, turkey bacon, thin sliced provolone cheese, and a whole egg. Under 300 calories, inexpensive, and you can make any number of changes to it. You could use just liquid egg whites, you could skip the meat and add veggies. One day I added a dollop of mango salsa and a couple shots of tabasco sauce. Yummm

Steel cut oats with diced apple and toasted/dry roasted sesame seeds. I just finished mine for the morning! I make up a batch ahead of time and just heat it up.
I make mine in a rice cooker, soaked the night before with 1 cup raisins, in the morning I add a diced apple. Hit the button to cook and its ready in 20 minutes, makes 4 servings I eat throughout the week. Simple and good for you.0 -

I am on a high protein diet. I usually drink a protein shake, you can get them about anywhere, I buy mine at GNC. You could also have Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, cheese with melba toast. Quaker has this Weight Control oatmeal in individual packets that is good as well.

I stole this idea from the Mother of All Cottage Cheese threads and eat it almost every single day for breakfast:
1 cup of low fat cottage cheese
1/2 cup of unsweetened apple sauce
a whole bunch of cinnamon
2 packets of splenda
Good protein and carbs, not too many calories. Yum!0
