Hi

I seem to have halted for 3 weeks and i am frustrated!!!
I would like to hear your success stories and hear your inspirational journeys! I would love to have some more friends who are tall girls so i can see what your diaries are like and get an idea if I am on the right track!
Thanks!!

I saw 5'10" and thought my 5'8" might be in the ballpark, but I can't compete with 6ft. But here's a bump anyway. Good luck!0

Hola! From the UK too and 5"10 been doing this since October but stalled in January :grumble: only in the last couple weeks has the weight been dropping again. Feel free to friend and look at my diary. Be warned I'm not a healthy eater! But I hit my goals :happy:0

I am 6'0" in the US. Don't really have much more to lose so eat just below maintenance. But feel free to add me0

I'm definitely not a tall girl, 5' 3" ha, but you are welcome to add me. I have about 83 pounds to lose and my journey has barely started. I began working out 5-6 days a week and eating better at the end of January. I've lost 17 pounds so far. I know I am on the right track, even though the weight loss has slowed down a bit. It can get really frustrating but it will be worth it if we just stick to it! I am currently doing Insanity. When I finish I plan on doing Ripped in 30 before starting my second round of Insanity.
You can do it! MFP is very helpful and encouraging.0 -

Hi!
I'm 5'10 from the UK...been on MFP for a year now, and 60 lb down, 16 lb to go. I've lost count of the number of plateau's and stalls in my weight loss in that time...the longest was over two months. I also gained back 7 lb OVERNIGHT one night in December for no apparent reason and had to lose it 1 lb at a time, all over again! :explode:
Am always happy to have new friends to support and cheer on if anyone wants to add me. I always do my best to interact with everyone on my friends list :flowerforyou:0 -
I am 5' 10.5" I was 237 @ my heaviest. I am trying to get back to a healthy weight (ideally 175.) I have lost 11 lbs. so far, need to drop another 40-50. I can't dine with friends who aren't eating healthy, I can't shop with my shorter girl friends who all wear single digit sizes. I could really use the support of other Tall Ladies who understand that my goal of a size 12 is normal, not huge. Even getting back into a 14 would be a victory. Feeling a bit isolated in my fitness journey.0

I am 5'11 and I have lost 100lbs since my highest weight of 298. 72 of them have been since October 1st, 2012, when I joined MFP. Feel free to add me. My diary is open to my friends, but I am not an adherent of perfectly clean eating, so you'll see some junk food and high sodium days. For me, this is a lifestyle change and I am not willing to give up treats for the rest of my life. I think more in the terms of a weekly average deficit, so I have some under days and some over days. I have been toying with the idea of a spike day or even trying Intermittent Fasting, but I haven't plateaued yet... I believe in the old saying: if it works, don't fix it.0

I'm 5'9.5". I would like to lose about 50-60 more pounds. I'm always looking for new friends. Feel free to add me.0

5'10 here! When I notice I'm slowing down a bit on the weight loss I change up my workout routine! Even if that means upping the intensity at intervals. You body can be come laxed and go into a "groove". Also, look at your diet. Sometimes just because your in your calorie limit doesn't mean you aren't holding yourself back. It's okay to have pizza, and sweets from time to time but every day can cause problems. For instance, most people don't know that eating to much processed sugar can cause water retention! for every one molecule of sugar, your body needs two molecules of water to break it down. Sugar isn't necessarily the enemy, but it shouldn't be enjoyed to excess. Just something I've learned along the way! And not all carbs are created equal! Processed carbs take so long to break down that they will become sugar and essentially fat in the body. Anyways, keep pushing forward! The scale will move again! Good luck!0

Hello,
Im from Louisiana and I am 5'10 with 45lbs more to lose. Add me if you would like to be motivated and motivate me..0 -
I'm 5'10 and have lost about 120, with 18 left to go to my goal weight. I lost a 130 in 2009-2010 - took me about a year, then I stayed at that weight for about a year. Then I trained for and completed a triathlon, was working out so much that I ate more and was good. Triathlon was over, I still ate I gained 10 back.....having a heck of a time trying to get it off, but I will. I just need to get my head back in the game and clean my diet up again. I am happy with my fitness level and I keep progressing there, I just like food too much.0

I'm 5'10" in the US. Down 80+ lbs, I'm only letting my doctor weigh me but I think I dropped a few pounds since she weighed me 3.5 weeks ago. I've got another 50 or so pounds to lose. It is funny how much weight a tall person can carry making weight loss a LONG journey. My ideal weight is about 150 lbs but I'll be pleased to hit 175. I'm a pear shape so I appear to be lighter than I am. One nurse asked me if I had rocks in my pocket.
My 30-60 minute daily exercise routine is mainly cycling because of ankle and foot problems but it is working for me. The weather is getting better so I may take up riding, doctor permitting. (A horse will be happier with my weight loss. )
I keep my diary open to friends. Feel free to add me if you do the same. New food choices motivate me.0 -
Im 5'11. Anyone ever feel extra big weight wise just because your taller?
^This!
I'm 5'10" and have always wanted to feel small and petite, but as I've gotten older have realized that is not going to happen! So now I'm just working on feeling happy with what God gave me and making myself the best "ME" I can be!0 -

Glad to know its not just me! I get really hard on myself sometimes thinking I will never be as small as so and so, so why bother! So frustrating!0 -
