Which Womens Motorcycle Suit (choose which one)

I like what you're wearing in your pictures better than either of the two you're wanting. Those ladies look like storm troopers or something to me.
What she's wearing in her pic isn't as safe. If you knew about motorcycle gear you'd know the stormtrooper look is there for function. Not about style.0 -
Don't really care. I'd rather go around kicking *kitten* wearing storm trooper outfits then skiddinig my *kitten* off in those pants...which I'm only wearing because I turned my better pair of pants into chaps on the highway.I like what you're wearing in your pictures better than either of the two you're wanting. Every girl I know who has those alpinestars are now broken...the zippers in the womens are plastic. I have wide hips which would be pulling those zippers apart...I love my AStar boots and gloves, but am not going for the GP pantsI think you'll have the best luck looking for individual suits + pants that zip together to form a two piece. Check these A* pants:

Now, let's look at women's A* jackets.

Wow, women's gear doesn't really like to make a lot of concessions for venting, does it?
A-HA! Now we're starting to see some sexy. Check out some nice REV'IT stuff:

BTW check out what my weight loss reward was =D
LOVE some of the revit suits which I already looked into...if it's on revzilla I looked at it. The revit stuff inseam for my size is 27...I have a 33 inseam...those pants wouldnt reach my high boots. I talked to revzilla people, they agree. May get rev'it gloves tho...some of them look really nice. Never had any rev'it stuff, do you know about quality? Pretty much everyone who works there rides (God love Kat for being 5'10 so I know what their gear looks like). I'm assuming the quality is on par with being able to take a slide in them. They have some nice perferated gloves with a fair amount of protection.
How do you like the shift stuff? I was looking at some of their gloves.0 -
I'd have to pay shipping duties and taxes on them all once from different sites (because no site carry both). Then I would have to pay to ship maybe both of them back if they don't fit because I'm not sure what size would. Then I'd have to pay shipping taxies ad duties again on the correct size. Plus pay restocking fees. No thanks. If I was making that kind of investment, I'd order both and send back the one I liked least. I do that all the time, even with cheap stuff.0 -
I would go with the one that has the best ratings for safety, comfort, and fit.0

How about this?

You don't get the racy look (no knee pucks or anything) BUT you do get one thing the others don't have: PERFORATION. And perforation on leather is priceless.
EDIT: Shift's stuff is pretty damn good. But most of what's left has been sold out. The brand (which was the street arm of Fox Racing) was discontinued back in 2011. I bought this suit then on closeout and have been trying to lose weight ever since to fit into it.0 -
Both are from the same place and should have aprox the same fit.I would go with the one that has the best ratings for safety, comfort, and fit.0 -
They only have perforation on the mens. See the comments "The pants do not have any perforation "...I'm telling you...I looked into all this lol.How about this?

Was referring more toward the jacket, which is the only women's perf jacket Dainese makes from what I see.0 -
The link you gave was of a mens jacket.

Sorry, came up in the search for women's. Hmmm...
Well there's the SF you already know about http://www.revzilla.com/product/dainese-womens-sf-leather-jacket but it's only got the bubble liner, not a replacement for perf. Crap, why can't women's gear have perf?0 -
Hmmm, #2 I think - I know you like the black, but the #1 in white looks great...

Love your current jacket btw!0 -
I KNOW! And why can't it be just as thick? And water proof? The vika commercial for the 2cm wide leather less the 1mm thick with mostly stretch panels sickens me. Especially when she's wobbling that triumph like mad even with both feet (in heals of course) on the ground. We're only suppose to sit on the back and look cute and you're suppose to be a good enough driver to avoid putting us on the road, didn't you know? *huff*. The current jacket was the thickest most versatiile jacket I've found and the expired it. And dainese stopped making the SF pant. I called up a few shops and they're not carrying my size and cannot order a new one...So alas, we still have me, shelling out a bunch of dough with no functionality in the gear I want made for short hobbits trying to storm trouper it up lol.

The do both look very similar. But I would go for #1, personally.0
-
Thanks, I love it to pieces. If I could find it again I'd buy it (thee inside is worn through from sliding inside out on the highway, the liner is ripped apart and there's holes in the elbows as well as other places). It's over a mm thick, it has a fully remoavable liner and can zip to a vented panel and has vents in the arms and back...and has a back protector. Can't find that in anything now.Hmmm, #2 I think - I know you like the black, but the #1 in white looks great...

Number One has my vote. Like others said it looks more flattering, slimming and just rocks more for me. That is all.0

What are they made out of?
Who are the manufacturer?
I ride motorcycles and honestly after going down you won't care how cool you look or anything like that. I realize looking like a bad *kitten* power ranger is a fun part of it but that stitching, ventilation, weight, cuts of fabric are WAY more important.
Kangaroo makes some very light weight leather that you can maneuver in. If price isn't a factor definitely look at that as it's more expensive than traditional leathers.0 -
Over an inch thick Cowhide (cowhide with D-skin is number 1, comparable abrassion resistance to kangaroo)What are they made out of?

Dainese
I ride motorcycle and went down and do not care how cool I look...which is why I'm willing to get ridiculous storm trooper with funny V crotch outfit. Pretty sure everyone on the road will put me down for it and I don't particularly care. People hear don't gear up when they should. I nearly lost my *kitten*. (excuse the Halloween wig getup):
If you can find something more protective then this, I'm all ears. Because this is pretty much the best i can find (minus the Spidi suit, a little out of my price range).0 -
I guess #1 if I were to choose but I'm a Harley girl. We dress differently.0
-
Glad to hear you've done your homework.
I'm a fan of black leather and that's what I purchase but keep in mind visibility and all that fun stuff.
With that being said based on looks purely I'm going to go with #1.0 -
I will forgive you, they vibrate allotI guess #1 if I were to choose but I'm a Harley girl. We dress differently.

I'd love to get the stripes outfit in black and white but I cannot find it. One thing I do not want is a white diaper butt (leather tends to stretch). I'm not spending 1000 bucks to look like im in adult diapers. Everything in a suit I can find is either white diaper butt or black. I hate red. And I have a green bike so I was trying to stick with black and white since there is no such thing as green leather in womens. It's a mythical object. I found a crazy green joe rocket outfit that looked like a purple monster puked all over it but alas it was to big. I'm all for viability. Hence the green bike. My new helmet is going to be the scorpion bio metal one. There's also reflective piping on some of the suit. Though I'd love to get my hands on a green leather kick *kitten* suitGlad to hear you've done your homework.

There's several reflective pipes on my current pink/black jacket (stupid womens gear always being pink) that looks black in the day which is pretty neat 0 -

all I gotta say is you'd love a crotch rocket. There's a reason girls hug the tank lol. I don't understand why some boys ride. They look silly when they pull a wheelie to impress me and slam their junk into the tank and give that pained look while I'm there getting all the pleasure lol. 0 -

It just hit me that you must really like the look of those suits if you came hear to warn me about protection lol. You like the power ranger look huh? What are they made out of?

Revzilla has the SF pant in stock still. But non perf. For me it would be a dealbreaker but how important is perf to you?0 -
Have you tried both of them on?
The second one looks cuter, but you gotta go with whichever is most comfortable. Also, as a rider myself, I don't recommend black. Black looks all cool and stuff, but it is really hard to see on the road and it is really hot.
Also, which suit has more vents?
I hate getting stuck at red lights in the sun and just baking in my gear. My jacket has vents that help when I'm going 40mph or faster, but when I stop, it swelters.0
