Hi all, dancingj2 has asked me to get the thread started, so here we go again! :wink:

Another Month - Another Challenge!

Challenge is to do 10,000 steps in a day. You can do this for any one day or try for the entire month. Jump right in at any time! You can set a lower or higher goal if you wish. Our main goal is to keep activate every day!

It's easy to join - Just post here to begin!

You will need a step counter to keep track of your steps and then post your results daily here.

    Thanks, Lazyspice, for posting this for dancingj2...hope she's feeling okay.

    I'm in again but this time I'm "stepping it up" a bit.

    On the days I bike, I am going to aim for 5000 miles. With a sedentary job that will definitely be a challenge!

    On non-bike days, it will be the usual 10,000 steps.

    Hopefully, this will get me motivated to keep moving!

    I have my FitBit so I will be in on this..... I'll try for 10,000 a day... Currently just under 4,000 today so I best get moving!

    I'm in...my goal for July will be 350,000 steps. I was just under in June!

    The FitBit One and I only averaged 9,353 a day in June, so we are working harder this month! :smile:

    June 2013: 437,492 steps; 273,289 aerobic steps (2145 minutes); 200.31 miles

    July goals:
    Daily: A minimum of 15K steps and 11K aerobic steps every single day.
    31-day goal: 527,000 steps; 341,000 aerobic steps (2325 minutes); 248 miles
    Complete C25K program (jogging 170 spm, 2 sets)

    Last month started out strong but ended up a disaster, having spend most of the last week and a half nursing a mild summer cold. But I'm pretty much over it now, and eager to get back on track!

    I'll jump in! I have a fitbit too and will easily hit 10k today (I have less than 500 to go and a ton of house work) and will try to keep it up for the rest of the month! I have a couple of heavy driving days where I probably won't hit it, but I'll try my best. I should be able to get it all other days.

    You can count me in too :) I have a Fitbit to track my steps and rarely get 10k in a day. I usually seem to average in the 7k to 8k range so I better starting parking a little farther away in parking lots, taking stairs instead of elevators, and all the good heart healthy ways to get my steps in!
