We all have different views, senses of humor, etc. I generally advocate tolerance but if someone doesn't fit yours they have a right to unfriend you without you getting butthurt and posting about it on the forums.

I don't have a problem that he posted it in the forums. I think it's stupid the way some people act so righteous about "friendships" if something doesn't match their expectations. Big deal. She didn't have to go drinking diet sodas. She could do whatever she wanted. Instead, she decided to dump the connection altogether over a single point of disagreement. Wow. And as you point out, people have the right to unfriend you, but you have the right to comment about it in the forums.

I have defriended before, but only because the communication was only one way, from me to them. Its not a "friend" if you never hear from them...ever. (Usually its people that think this is facebook and have tens and even hundreds of friends, so many that they cant respond to them all).

I prefer to have friends that hear from me and that I at least occassionally hear back from.

Diet soda though....? I dont make those sorts of judgements on people.

Yeah. I am the same way. If you never interact with me, you will be cut eventually. I'm not a collector.
