When I was born in the UK in the 1970's my name was not very common at all - it has become more so with children born in the 1990's but I don't meet many people at all my age or older than me with my name0 -
It's only for the US...I have a very British name.

It annoys me that I know two Laras who DO pronounce it Laura. I always wonder WHY! So weird. LARA is a whole different name in my opinion.
