So Motivational! You made me tear up with your first 3k pic!!! What a fabulous transformation. I too was devastated by a running injury to my knee while I was training for a half marathon. I was up to 11miles in a session without stopping. But I found other forms of exercise I love. I will embrace that I am more a hiker, cycler, 5k kind of frame and along with Yoga...they make me feel GOOD!
You are very inspiring. I am aiming at cutting out my SF everythings (as I love to have flavor in my coffee without the calories), but for now I am weaning off most meat products. Baby steps, but steps all the same.
Thank you so very much for sharing your wonderful journey!0 -

Awesome! My husband has some of the same health issues you originally faced--sorely tempted to leave this up on the computer but that would be a bit too passive-aggressive. Great to see it can be done!0

Thanks for sharing your story! I'm similar to you... demanding job, busy family and lots going on. I used all the same excuses as you did and finally last year in December at 227lbs decided enough was enough. I hired a trainer and 3 weeks ago crossed the 200lb threshold. As of today I'm at 195 with a goal much lower (165 - I'm only 5'6").
The journey has been great yet hard and frustrating, disappointing at times but really encouraging and confidence building as well. It's good to hear stories like yours because it helps others like me to focus and be inspired.
So thanks again for posting and congratulations! I hope to see or hear more from you once you hit 185 lbs! Good luck!0 -
Really great job. Isn't it funny how easy it is to find excuses?? And REALLY glad you found a bike (with the type of tires YOU look) to ride.
A huge CONGRATS to you!0 -
I love how you start smiling in your timeline pics midway through - the sense of pride and accomplishment shows through0
