      Without sounding like a depressive F***, but my dad called me fat since i was 10 and so i got sick of it. So now i'm on a mission to get thin (The healthy way, i've been down other roads) and tell him to go f*** himself. Like all good daughters do. :D

      You are so lucky... I don't even get "you have a pretty face" lol. Unless it's from my mum. bless her. Or my husband. But to be honest, I could shave my eyebrows off and get "I like turtles" tattooed on my head and my husband would still not care what i looked like - his thing is "i want YOU to be happy with the way you look, I love you no matter what" which is sweet but kinda annoying. I'd probably have more motivation if he said i could be doing with losing a few (or in my case, a few dozen) lol. x

      We're all here ultimately for the same reason - to get fit and healthy - and we all have our altruistic motivations for doing it (to be around for our children and spouses, etc., etc.).

      But what's your 'selfish' reason for wanting it? Want to look good at a reunion? Get back at a cheating ex? Women, wear a bikini, and guys, go shirtless at the beach?

      What is your totally selfish, shallow, artificial reason for wanting to get fit (lose weight, tone up, etc.)?

      Here's mine: I'm cheap, and fat clothes are expensive! I want to buy all the cute small clothes that are inexpensive.

      Can I just say on a side note that I love your tank?

      To look good IN clothes and OUT of them. I feel and look strong. To inspire and motivate my overweight girl friends. And most especially to have my kids feel proud of who their mom is on the inside and outside.
