    It started because chicks were checking out my man, with me standing *right there*, and then giving me nasty looks. You know the ones, the "I'm hotter than you so why is he with you?" looks. While we're standing there with our 4 yr old and infant daughters.

    So, it started so that when chicks saw my hot man, and then saw me, would know they didn't have an icecube's chance in hell of getting him.

    I wanted to look good while in bed, so gravity or positioning wouldn't have any bearing on how I look.

    To stop conversations when I walk by.

    To wear cute undergarments and not have any muffin tops of any kind.

    To break the cycle of obesity in my family. To prove to my mom that I can eat after six and not be fat. That FAT is not hereditary (at least not in my case) and that I CAN do whatever I want.

    To prove to myself that I can run further than I thought.
    Do more pushups that I thought I could.
    Participate in a mudrun and get dirty.

    Hit harder than I thought I could (boxing).
    Get hit hard and take it without flinching (boxing).

    Basically I want to kick my own *kitten* and then be proud of the fact that I just beat that bish.

    Oh... and look hot too.

    ETA: and I want my daughters to know that STRONG is SEXY. CONFIDENCE is MANDATORY. And NOTHING is beyond their grasp.

    The positive reason is I want and need to be healthy. I have had some health issues that scared me straight.

    The selfish reason is to get back at the boyfriend who dumped me. I want to look good so when he come crawling back (and he will), I am in demand with other men and won't have time for him.

    Whatever gets me from point A to point B is good motivation!
