My tattoos are a tribal sun in the middle of my upper back right below my neck line- a tiger cub with my daughters name on my shoulder- a bear cub with my youngest daughters name on my left ankle= my name on my right ankle- after the lips tatt that i plan on getting on my butt cheek - once i lose some more weight i will get the infamous tramp stamp (no offense to the others who have a tatt on their lower back)- I have my tongue pierced of course my ears I used to have my lip pierced like marilyn monroe style- and when i was younger i had my belly button pierced--0

I really think it depends on how high you carry. My stretch marks don't go up that high, but my son was a preemie so I didn't carry him full term. I think if he had stayed in there, my stretch marks might go up to my neck!!!OMG, iluvsparkles, I
your sternum piece (what I can see of it). I have something drawn out for mine, and I was kind of concerned that it would look stupid, but I really like the way yours looks.
Not trying to sound creepy, I just wanted to let you know that I was now psyched to get mine (even though my abs will NEVER look like yours :laugh: :laugh: )
you are waaaayyy too sweet!!! I got that tattoo back when i had a much flatter tummy than i have now! im working to get back to the point i was when i invested in that spiritual piece... I'm so glad you like it, I love seeing that one every day, and wouldn't change it for the world!
(i do wonder if itll change when i get preggers...do you stretch out alot that high up?
BTW: My sternum piece is a spiritual piece as well. How weird. I wonder if that's a common place for people to get really meaningful tattoos. Hmmm..

(ps i like my feet too...one of the parts on my body that i have always loved!)
My hubby told me the reason he broke up with me the first time we dated oh... 10 years ago was because he didn't like my feet :mad: I pick on him all the time though now he says it was just an excuse he came up with so he wouldn't have to admit to still being in love with his then ex0 -
I have one on my outer ankle it is a star. I got it on my 18th birthday. It has a lot of meaning I had a teacher who kinda helped me change my life she was a chld development teacher and she said every child is a star and I love it. I really want to get one more that I am going to add on to with my next child. I am thinking I want a bouqet of my daughter's husband's and my birth month flower, and add one for my next child when ever I am ready for another.0

I have the same thing, in the same spot!! Although after two kiddos (I got it when I was 18), it doesn't look all that nice...looked like a TREE when I was pregnant!!! :laugh:0 -

I have two. One that's about to get some work added to it (so I won't post pix until Tuesday when it's done..lol) and one that I JUST got.
It makes more sense if you know that I'm a seamstress/costumer. lol

You have to upload your photos onto a site like Photobucket, then copy the URL they give you for the photo.

Mine is a traditional African symbol...there are several of these Adinkra symbols and they're usually used in crafts. Each has a special meaning. Mine is 'He who does now know can know from learning.'
This was taken right after I got it--still a little wet lol! It's lovely and dark and I didn't even have to go back for a touch-up because the artist was so thorough in coloring it. I got it in May and people still ask if it's new. I lotion it every day and it means a lot to me. 0 -
I have 3- none of which I like anymore. Which sucks. lol I have a rose on my chest, a mouse and a devil. I got them all when I was a teenager, so needless to say...my opinion of what is a nice tattoo has changed a bit!0

1 left calf......tribal moon with 2 dolphins
1 right calf....mickey mouse as the sourcerer
1 just below base of neck on spine.....symbol for adoption....as I was forced to give up my 1st baby...thanks mom and step dad!

1 on my *kitten*.....a hand drawn rubber duck with flames
1 on my cooter...popo....vajayjay....its a greatful dead bear

Some serious ink going on here... I have 2. The Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland on my right hip and "I Hope You Dance" on my foot. Both are very meaningful to me. I'm ready for another but think I will get something added to the one on my foot.0

It's pretty evil. The tattoo was a pain in the butt as a sat in 15 three hour increments. Add to that the fact that my ex-wife put something on it that got it infected and I had to take close to a month off before my tattoo guy could work on it again.0 -

I just got my first tattoo Saturday... I can't wear my wedding bands because I have such bad arthritis on in my hands.... so I had a tattoo put on my ring figure instead... I LOVE IT!!!!0

I have 4 and my husband has put a ban on me tattooing any further. You can see 3 of them in my profile pictures.
1 - forearm ( an homage to my girls): vine, flowers and butterflies with the pisces, libra symbols hidden in the vines, as well as my husbands initials.
2 - neck/back: ying-yang triskell. The triskell is a celtic symbol representing the father, the ghost and the holy spirit. In my case, using the ying yang, I'm trying to balance being MOM, a WIFE and time to be MYSELF...
3 - a small matching flower from my vine work on my shoulder (because eventually I'd like to expand the vine up my arm and around to my opposite shoulder.
4 - my first tat at 17 years old... a black cat on my ankle... because I need one to cross my path each day 0 -
