Hi everyone, I've made a couple of these along the way when I've hit my 1st and 2nd goals, but thought I'd make a final one as I've just reached my overall target I set myself 18 months ago.

    I started at 241 pounds (17 stone 3lbs)
    I am 5 foot 10

Hopefully these pics can inspire new starters to stick with MFP, it works!!

I've answered most questions in a post on my profile as there's too many to answer individually, thanks for all the comments  Dani xx

    Dani,
Your profile is only open to your friends so nobody can read it. Would it be possible that you just paste it on the thread? Thank you. We are all really impressed with your stomach! Amazing transformation.

    Here you go x

Blown away by the comments and friend requests and nice messages I've gotten today! When you add a note to a friend request I can't see it after I accept so I'll just answer some questions now. I was on 1500 cal per day for the first few months and after I lost 40lbs I lowered that to 1200. The only exercises I did were some zumba, Wii fit, walking, and little things like running up and down the stairs. I use the ab king pro from time to time and am doing the 30 day squat challenge and sit up challenge now. Loose skin wasn't much of a problem probably just lucky there. Stretchmarks I used bio oil, they're still there just not as visible and they blend into my skin more now that I have a tan (sunbeds, I know I know) I don't log in my diary really anymore as I've been on here so long I just mentally count my calories throughout the day now. I did eat a lot of fruit and veg, chicken, low fat yoghurt etc. I gave up butter and cheese because I found it too hard to count those calories. I did not give up alcohol, I just switched to vodka and diet 7up/coke, and white wine. After 40lbs lost I stopped counting on the weekends, ate normally, and ate less calories during the week to make up for it, Some people disagree with this method but I see it like this, your body doesn't work on a 24 hour clock, so I felt it was ok to 'bank' calories (50-100 per day weekdays) and save up for the weekend. Exercise calories, I did eat back sometimes but not all the time. Any other questions I've forgotten just comment here and I'll answer :) Thanks for the lovely messages and support xx Dani

LeopardPrintedLove Did you feel that you lost weight evenly? Or did you have a specific "problem area" that you struggled with until then end. Me, for instance, I feel pretty good about my arms and my legs, but my stomach really bums me out. I know that it is getting visibly better, but I still have a long way to go and sometimes doubt if it will ever truly shrink to where I want it to be.

MinMin97 Awesome, Dannii. My biggest challenge to keeping low cals is my mood. I plummet and can't emotionally handle too low a deficit. Did you find that a challenge, or did you take anything to help your mood?

Miss_dannii LeopardPrintedLove: I found it fell off pretty quickly to begin with, a few pounds a week, and then slowed the more I lost but yes I think it was pretty even the whole way along. I hit a plateau about a stone ago (14lbs) and it was really hard to keep losing but I detoxed a few times and drank loads of water, did a bit of exercise, and started losing slowly but surely again. You've seem my before stomach pics, it was a mess. From the side I honestly could have passed for heavily pregnant. So don't be too bummed about yours, eat low fat and drink loads of water, try cut out sodium much as you can and exercise if you can. Fruit and veg I think played a huge part for me too xx

Miss_dannii MinMin97 I didn't really struggle too much with it, although I did have a big life changing and tough time as my fiance passed away last April, but I went the opposite way for a while and lost my appetite altogether. When it started to come back I knew I needed to keep it under control and I really wanted to keep my heart healthy as my fiance had suffered heart problems so that also contributed a lot to my motivation. Of course I had hard times, fell off the wagon more than once, went through bad eating phases etc but I find once you get your mind back into it it's relatively easy to stay in it. xx

  • All I have to say is OH.....MY.....GOOOODDD!!!! Girl you are definately an inspiration to me!!! Like you, I'm a tall girl, hovering at 5'11". So I know what you've struggled with. As tall girls, we can get away with a few extra pounds, but when my scale tipped over 210 I knew it was time for me to make a change. I can now look at your pictures and see that if I stick to MFP and keep eating right and exercising, I can have a killer body just like you!!! Thanks hun!!!!!!!!!!!
