We may have similar body shapes, then, because measurement-wise I'm certainly a pear. I'm glad I've taken progress pictures, though, because it turns out I'm not as exaggerated a pear as I'd imagined. I used to think my bum and hips were disproportionally large, but now when I review my photos, I realize my body is pretty proportional and that I need to stop being so critical. Below is the front-shot which shows my hips that are larger than my waist and chest, hence the pear shape.

FANTASTIC progress! There's hope for my stomach! :-)

And the side during at 136lb/62kg.... (I'm 128lb now and it's even better!):

    I'm 5'4" and a mummy and I've been fat since I was 7 or 8 - so there's hope for everyone!!

This is one of the best body shape changes starting at just overweight (not super obese->slim) that I have ever seen and it really speaks to me, so I have added you hope you don't mind, how did you do it? How much did you have to work out, weights etc or mainly just with diet xx

You guys are such an inspiration! Through all my years of gaining and losing weight, I had always thought I was lucky to gain weight somewhat proportionately. But in the last year, all of my weight gain seems to be in my lower belly/butt region! It's great to see the success you've all had. I know I can do it!

    I'm 5'5.5". I ate 1500+ a day, ran/did Zumba 3 days a week, and lifted heavy 3 days a week.

    Before, ~130

    After, 120

You look awesome! When you say "heavy lifting" how heavy do you mean? What did you start with and what were your reps? I plan to start lifting tomorrow after seeing so many great results for women from heavy lifting.

    Thanks and great work!

    *** WARNING *** ........ Horrendous picture.

    2e50f7b6-b8d2-45bd-bea2-2bc7e31ce5ed-1.jpg

Okaaay so this is my before and after 30 days.
This thread originally made me start my 30 day weight loss challenge after I ballooned again
and this is about 35 days in. I'm going to post my complete story as well as my 30 (35) day challenge story.
This is my monster. My enemy. And anyone who has lost the weight but come to THIS stage knows
how emotional things can get with the pooch. But I was happy to see that I'm not alone.
To me .. I haven't changed. I'm still the same girl when I sit down or look in the mirror at myself.
    But I guess that I couldn't be happier. :)
This is the first time that I'm doing things the right way .. The healthy way. And so far, its the best method yet.
    YAAA DON'T SAAYYY .. -_- ...

I have soooo far to go. But this is what I did in 30 dang days!! ... Well 35 with my will power at times.
I could have done A LOT better.. **Feel free too add me!!!** I'll be back in another 30 days!!

P.s. .... Everyone looks ammaaazing. When I say bad things about my body .. The worst is me.
No matter what shape or size. So don't take offence because I could be worse. Cause I could be A LOT better.
I have been a lot bigger.. 235 at my biggest, so I am my worst critic.
But absolutely everyone looks fantastic. So inpirational.
    Greakluck! xo
