Wasn't it originally intended as a decoration on a plate anyway? .

I definitely recommend NOT eating kale used as a plate decoration in a restaurant. So germy!!

As someone who's worked in many restaurants... you're doing great if only the kale is germy.

Coconut oil is really bad for you too....I mean...we're all so deceived! Whole grains...Corn....Kale...

We're not getting adequate lard into our diets! Now that is the real concern.

I'm not a fan of raw kale. Too much chewing. But I do love me some kale chips.

    Also Nitrates...

    I will make exceptions for...

    bacon-heart.jpg?w=630

    and...

    6358b.jpg

    but not...

    images.jpg

    pretty much this.

I've tried kale in two forms (chip and raw I think) and it was disgusting- I can't get it- I don't get it. I think the only time I had it and it didn't taste like *kitten* was when it was blended up in a smoothie.

I'd rather eat bacon. nommy nommy bacon.

Kale is used to fatten lizards. I don't want to eat anything that is used to FATTEN something else.

I think my taste buds are broken, cause it tastes fine to me.

Try Spirulina in powder form. Like a big ass scoop of it right down the hatch.

You will be begging for some kale.

Why ... would you know this!? :noway:

And kale is a no for me. As is cooked spinach (nasty, slimy, ugh!). Raw is OK, though. And I actually like brussel sprouts - for some reason I find them to be bitter in a good way. Especially when roasted.

I'm not providing evidence so pointing that out or asking for it is futile.

No... God intended it as an emergency ration during bacon shortages. Fried in the drippings, with extra salt. Picks up the flavor really well. Add leftover mashed potato and a bit of extra butter to get a truly excellent dish.
When I worked at Wendy's we decorated the salad bar with big leaves of kale. Every night when we broke it down, we would take the kale and toss it into a bucket of ice water. The next morning we would put it back out.

We kept those same kale leaves the whole time I worked there. Months.

I don't believe in kale as a food. *shrug* sorry

There are many things that I don't believe are food when found at Wendy's (or similar establishments). And if they don't serve beer, they have no hope of convincing me. : )

Kale along with other leafy greens are all disgusting... Blech...

My co-workers on the other hand would disagree and eat kale salads drenched in dressing, cheese, and croutons daily.. They'd probably eat effin' kale ice cream if you told them it was healthy.

I literally ate a pound of kale and my legs literally fell off. Literally.

Don't eat it. My neighbour's cousin's brother-in-law is a doctor and he told me that it causes scabies and makes you fat. Don't eat it.

After reading this thread, I can only assume that I am an alien that was abandoned on this planet shortly after birth.

I love green leafies! Haven't met one yet that I didn't like! Including kale!

Shredded roasted Kale supposed to be very good, keep meaning to try it.
  • I realize the post is a joke, but I have to say to all the serious folks out there...I have quite a few RAW kale salads that are amazing. Oils and marinades tenderize the kale, and I'm fine not to have to share! Best tasting vegetables & fiber, available year round too. Not that I always want a fiber meal, often some cookies & ice cream is all I need.
