Thank you for this post. I often get frustrated comparing myself to smaller girls. I don't quite fit your statistics, since I'm only 5'9", but I'm 168 pounds right now. I'd like to lose another 10, but pretty proud of making it this far!
You are all awesome!0 -
43 yo - Stress and hormonal changes make weight loss harder but not impossible, just slower.
Lack of sleep is my big challenge for the last year+
Height: 5' 10.5"
SW: 237
CW: 230 ...was down to 223 and back up
GW: 174
I did WW in 2006-2007 SW: 214 made it down to goal and maintained 174 for 2 yr.
Lifestyle changes, various big stresses and I skyrocketed above 214 up to max wt. 237 lbs. in roughly 5 yrs.
Joined MFP, re-joined, and re-started again. I need a support group that understands.
...I want to be strong, fit and healthy...don't care so much about clothing sizes.0 -
Height: 6'0
Age: 23

GW: 140 (Like a few of the others have mentioned, am somewhat small boned and was very thin until college.)0 -
I'm 5'10/11 depending on whether you ask my mother or not!! I would like to be 147-154lbs or fit comfortably (with room) into a UK Size 12.
SW: 200
CW: 194
I know all I need to do is put the fork down!!0 -
I am 5'11 and my goal is 180. That is where I was for most of my life and was at my healthiest and most active then. Anything less, I think I would be too thin. :happy:0

I like the idea of being fit and healthy. I've never been a size 5 and would never care to be. Too muscular. I'd like to be fit and healthy too! Mind if I add you as a friend?

I'm 5'10". My highest was somewhere over 250 but my most recent high was 210ish (I fluctuate). I'm in the 150s now. I was as low as 152 recently and felt great. Back up a few pounds and everything is great except for the cursed belly. Also feel a little sluggish for some reason. I looked pretty good in the 160s and 170s but I just feel better in the low 150s. I would love to be in the mid 140s but most would think I look sickly as I just recently turned 52 and have lost a lot of tone and collagen. Keep at it. You're worth it! :flowerforyou:0

I'm 5'11 , my start weight was around 180 , I got to 150 and decided to lose another 10 lb so now I'm at 142. UK size 10 in tops and 12 in bottoms . My measurements are 36-27-39. Can't seem to lose the bum lol. Well done to everyone so far0

Hi everyone! I was 150 lbs before I started having children (back in 1996). I am 5'11". I was 367 lbs last year (around August 2012). After having gallbladder surgery (January 29, 2013), the weight started melting off, seriously. I really didn't do anything different. I worked out here and there, but never really focused on my food intake. Today I weigh 322 lbs!
SW: 367 lbs
CW: 322 lbs
GW: 175 lbs
I hope that everyone is successful!0 -
Hi everyone! I'm 5'10" and I currently weigh 165 and I'm a size 10. My goal is to get down to 160 but I'd be even happier with my body fat % below 12. I lift heavy 3-4 days a week. I wore a size 10 as a teenager at 150lbs....so, I guess the scale doesn't mean a whole lot. :ohwell:0

I'm 5'10 and somewhere between 205 and 210. Size 16 is too big on me, super baggy. I can fit a size 14 in New York and Company, Old Navy, and Wal Mart. I want to get down to 190 or 180.0

<--- 5'10 - current @ 230, UGW = 1600

The whole clothing size is hard to grasp sometimes. I outweigh my mother by about 70 lbs, yet we wear the same size pants (in the same pants, not some totally different brand). Proportionately, we are very different though, She has bird thin legs and mine are kinda chunky. I'm top heavy with bat wings and she is relatively small chested with nice toned arms.0

5'11.
SW: 204
CW: 190.8
GW: 1450 -
Height: 5' 10.5"
SW: 307 lb
CW: 298 lb (I've only been at this for one week)
GW: 164 lb (which will put me nicely within the healthy weight range for my height, but not too low.)0 -
5'10, goal weight 174, dream weight 145.0
-
when I was 5'10 148lbs, I wore a size 13 and a L to XL shirt sometimes....0

130-1500

Height: 5'10"
SW: 256
CW:202
GW:170-180
I look best when I'm "curvy", just not as curvy as I am now0 -
I'm 5' 8". But if I wear heels I'm over 6ft. Sucks when you're on a date but does it count? lol!!
But for what it's worth, I'm aiming for 130 with the lowest being 125.0 -
I'm 5'10 and 163. It would be nice to be 155, but I am also happy here
I'm thinking of doing a small bulk this fall/winter and then a cut in the spring/summer.. I'm just playing with body fat percentages now.0 -
and I wear a size 6/8 and medium shirt0

I'm another large-framed tall woman and I'm happy to see others who are OK with the fact that they will never be "model" weight. I'm 5' 10.5", currently 191 down from 209 (at my largest I hit 220...I've never admitted that to anyone, not even my husband) and I think I would be happy in the 160s somewhere. That's where I was in college, back when I thought I was fat. So stupid. But anything below that I think would look unhealthy on me.0

OK Ladies, I am 5'10.5" and struggling with losing the last few pounds... here is a tiny bit of my history. I had massive weight gain from having to take steroids during treatment for blood cancer. I was always very athletic. In my mid 30's after having three children, I was about 155 pounds and wore a size 6 or 7 pants.
After treatment which included massive amounts of steroids, I doubled my body weight for the most part. Now I have already came a long way... but I may have to be thankful I got where I did rather than worry about the last 20 or so pounds.
SW: 303 pounds size 26
CW: 195 pounds size 16
GW: 175 pounds probably a 10
I have a couple of problems. One is with buying clothes. Especially since the pants style has changed so much from flared legs to "skinny" jeans. I have a problem with "skinny jeans, called they barely fit in the legs at a size 18 and the waist is HUGE. If they fit in the waist, the legs are too tight.
The other problem I have is I frequently have a pants problem with the waists being too big but if I go down a 14, while I can get them on, they are very tight around the waist, but I have the 16's falling down unless they run VERY small. I have a few items in the closet as small as a 12 and as large as a 20. I wear size Large or XL shirts. I hate that there isn't a standard in sizing. Another thing I would like to see is companies making larger women's shoes that are narrow width. I wear size 12 shoes and it is so discouraging to go in find the 12's and they only have them in wide width.0 -
I am 6'0', currently around 175 with an ultimate goal weight of 165!0
