Im sure there have been days that you have skipped your run, or missed your gym session, without a legitimate reason, but somehow you have managed to talk yourself out of it.

well i want people to post their excuse here so you can announce to the world how soft you are :D

Im gonna start;

I missed my run last night cos it was cold and raining and i convinced myself to move my rest day from thursday to wednesday so that im working out mon/tue then thurs/fri instead of mon/tue/wed/fri

as long as i dont skip it tonight as well i should be ok (more convincing)

Welcome!

    I already had cookies today, so it's a waste to workout. I'll just go twice tomorrow.

    Everyone is still asleep and I don't want to wake them up. That is my favorite.
    Close second is I have to work (at a daycare), so I will get in a good workout there. HAHA:laugh:

    I'm sick, I should rest. And the first week of classes is just too busy.

    I am fat, tired, and depressed. It would be too much to go for a run. I am just going to give up in a few weeks anyway.
    Luckily tonight my husband came home and squashed that. I find it harder to make excuses when my husband offers to push the double stroller.

    Bipolar/anxiety disorder. My usual excuse. I'll usually take an extra tab for each, which makes me functional. If not, I'll do a morning and evening workout.

    I'm not going to bother toning up until I lose the weight which is coming off easily with diet. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it, ya hear?!

    I do walk a lot. But I know I should be more physical, I've always been active until I stopped dancing a few years ago.
  • I don't have time to workout with me going to school, work, studying, trying to sleep when I can, or because i'm trying to spend time with my boyfriend or family.

    In general: fibromyalgia. Which is doubly stupid, since I KNOW I'll feel better after I exercise. (Although possibly not better after I exercise and then wait an hour in the rain for a bus that doesn't come. But there is no freaking way I'm going to use not having a car as an excuse, that's pushing it even for me.)

    This month: surgery. Stupid, minor surgery that went badly for some reason. I should have been back to my normal routine after two days, instead I'm still bleeding and cramping a month later. I know I SHOULD be okay to exercise, but I keep convincing myself that I've drastically injured myself any time the pain gets worse. Hopefully my check-up will set my mind at ease and make me realise it's not as bad as I've worked myself up to believe.
