Hi! I'm Becca and I've only just recently (in the past week) gotten serious about my diet routine. My highest weight was 300lbs. And at 5'4'' with a genetic predisposition to heart disease, cancers, diabetes, and high blood pressure, I think it's about time to get healthy don't you? Since moving out of a VERY stressful and depressing environment, (and time frame. In 2007 I lost my father at 54. So emotional eating was my way of life.) I lost my first 20 lbs. Since Dieting, I have lost about five. I'm definitely here to help give my support to those who need it from me and also hope to gain some support as well! LETS ALL GET HEALTHY! Then we can live forever and be crabby old grannies/grandpas shooing whipper-snappers off our lawns!0

Totally not your demographic (being in the 40-something range<g>), but wanted to say kudos to you for doing it now! I ignored it my college gains for years then wound up with baby gains (and 'sat on my *kitten*' gains and yo-yo dieting gains, etc and so on), and now that I've truly changed how I eat and work out and look at it all, I'm kicking myself for waiting 20 years.
So keep up the great work!

Hi and Welcome! I'm Heather, 27, and started on MFP in July. My starting weight was 240 and I've lost about 14lbs so far, with my ultimate goal of losing 75lbs! So I'm well on my way!
