When Anthony Hopkins' character in _Meet Joe Black_ dies.
Spock in _Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan_
Walsh in _Serenity_ -- how pointless
The redheaded woman in _Oliver_ (the version I saw as a 12 y/o, beaten to death by that horrid old pickpocket)0 -
Rita (Julie Benz) in Dexter.
Bobby Simone (Jimmy Smits) in NYPD Blue
Ned Stark (Sean Bean) in Game of Thrones
And ditto on Kate in NCIS. That was a shocker for sure.
(It's sad how much TV I watch. LOL)0 -
From Buffy, Joyce, Tara and, of course, Buffy herself. Those deaths get me every time.
The episode where Joyce dies is unbelievable. I haven't seen an hour of TV like that before or since.0 -
Opie Winston and Debra Morgan...
OH AND SPIKE FROM BUFFY IT STILL KILLS ME EVERY TIME.
Him and Tara both. I'm just lucky Giles lived or I still wouldn't be okay today.

I must be heartless. Every time a character dies suddenly, I shrug my shoulders and either say "that was a brave move by the writers and producers" or "wonder who the actor pissed off on set."
Then I look over at my husband, and he is tearing up. Then I feel even worse.
Except when Mike died on Breaking Bad. That one got me.0 -
The death of DCI David Bilborough (played by Christopher Eccleston) on the TV series Cracker really threw me. I felt out of sorts about it for a couple of days.
The same thing happened when Charlie (Dominic Monaghan) died on Lost.
And, David Tennant's Doctor Who regeneration (into Matt Smith) was sad for me.0 -
John Coffey in the Green Mile.0
