Oh, I dislike cold ears. How about a bandana of some sort, thin, but still a little protection. Just try not to look like a biker thug.

Another night ride, another picture of the moon, this time down by the river. Twenty miles tonight, cool, but not uncomfortable, and virtually no wind.

Pretty sure my biggest issue with the cold weather will be my ears. Any suggestions? Can't wear much under my helmet because it barely fits already (it's adjustable and I can't adjust it any bigger).

Same here. I bought a ear band. I haven't tried it yet.

    http://www.nashbar.com/bikes/CategoryDisplay?storeId=10053&catalogId=10052&langId=-1&orderBy=4&searchTerm=&beginIndex=0&pageSize=16&categoryId=202514&metaData=

In morning, it's high 30s - low 40s for commute time. It's not just ear but it's too damn cold

BTW, yesterday day time was pretty warm. I even did not need tights. I rode for 17 miles afternoon. I think it was mid 60s.
If it's summer time, adding 100 miles in a week is doable.
Now, looking at 10 day forecast, I'd probably ride twice at most. Grrr.

This one shows a landing craft used by Tom Hanks in Saving Private Ryan so the local news station reported. I pass it every day and it is now used by the local Royal Navy Cadets

This challenge is almost over but I'll join anyway since I just started this fitnesspal journey. Ill set my goal at 200 miles. I have 9 days left including today so I know I can do that. I bike 2 hours or more about everyday. Have nothing better to do while I wait for hubby to be done with deployment. Wont get this chance to do nothing but workout once he's back and i move away from my mom again. :) So hoping this challenge helps me lose some more pounds so hubby is very surprised. :) Will post my total tonight and thank u for the challenge :)

Is it too late to join? If not, I want to challenge myself to do 50 miles for the rest of the month, starting tomorrow morning.

You are All a-mazing! I got out for my second ride this month. 16 miles. 16 s I o w miles. I'm left with the following observations:
1-My skeleton thumb nails look very cute sticking out of my gloves.
2-I'm pretty sure that every biking muscle I have has atrophied with disuse.
3-If I'm going to ride my bike, I need a more substantial breakfast than Cream of Wheat and an apple.
