''Quad muscles are not sexy on women''

[I wouldn't expect someone who consistently misspells "women" (as woman) to have the insight not to comment on posts they can't read such as my original post. Both is ignorant by dictionary definition. In your case the ignorance is showing in the mischaracterization of anything I said. It's also ignorant or at least naive to think that someone who puts up a topic for discussion should not expect a variety of opinions in reply. Otherwise don't put it up for discussion. You see the point I'm making here? I just thought I'd ask. If you can't deal with one dissenting opinion in 50 posts of blind agreement, then you're mentally weak. Just as you'd have to be mentally weak to be intimidated by site moderators and give advice as to how to best suck up to them. Whatever your physique it won't help you deal with life if you're that fragile.
PS: I am not *refusing* to change my opinion, cause there is no need to change it at all. That's the way I feel about the issue and that's the way I will feel about it and have a fulfilled sex life. That's really out there to speak of *refusal* to change my opinion lol
I wasn't bashing your opinion. I was pointing out to a new forum user that body shaming is not acceptable here and that yes opinions vary but due to ToS users need to temper their opinions to be more politically correct. As for refusal to change it that wasn't a "bash" either. It was a statement that was reflected in your post no need to change it.
I personally don't give a rats behind what you think of women who are "muscled" or anyone elses. I will continue down my own path and be healthy and lose weight and not pick on people who are different then me or body shame anyone as that is just not nice.
Now you on the other hand I can see will be off these forums shortly due to your refusal to accept the terms of service of them.
I would like to be able to say it has been nice but to be frank it hasn't.
PS note 2x is not consistently and perhaps you need to remember that not all people on this forum have english as their native tongue so slips in spelling, grammer etc can be seen plenty. Now if I were a total *kitten* (which I am btw) I would point out the grammtical errors in your statement but I wont as I feel that means I have sunk to your level which I refuse because who knows english might not be your native tongue.
PPS If you did have a fulfilled "life" you wouldn't be this crabby...:flowerforyou:0 -
Wait! Someone called the mods because someone else had the audacity to have a differing opinion? While I may not share the differing opinion, it shows a real lack of backbone to 'tell' on him. What he posted wasn't offensive. It was an opinion. I didn't realize we all had to line up like good sheep and stroke each others egos.
It's no the "Difference in opinion" that gets post deleted it is the way they are expressed. And if someone actually found it offensive that is their choice to report it...me personally I wouldn't care as strangers and/or people who don't matter just can't upset me.0 -
I didn't even read the other replies, just the title of the threadabd had to come in and say b-u-l-l-s-h-i-t0

Yep, got this much appreciated comment today. I happen to think muscle and definition is a highly attractive feature in women. To each his own I suppose. But ouch; I'll admit, that one stung.
I'm not terribly impressed or turned on by six-pack abs on men, but plenty of women are.0 -
Oh, don't let that sort of crap bother you. Muscles are attractive on either sex. Nothing is less attractive than a skinny, boney person of either sex. Don't let other people control how you feel about yourself. Be in control of yourself.0

OK so someone needs some really new eyes.,..I think a pair of quads to be a very sexy thing on women. :bigsmile:0
-
Was this comment from a woman or a man?
this is the second time I"ve seen this asked- I'm seriously trying to figure out how it's relavent... because oh that's right
from a women = jealous
from a man = hater
It's not RELEVANT what gender said it. and it's not appropriate unless it was said in a vein like this one "do you think X, Y or Z is sexy/attractive -or no?"
That's an incredibly odd comment for someone to walk up and say- my spidy sense is tingling saying there is more to the story than this.0 -
I believe it's perfectly acceptable to dislike defined quad muscles on women. Just like I think it's ok to not be attracted to certain things on ANYONE, and that people are entitled to their own opinions and preferences.
What's really stupid is that someone needs to make a point of telling you what they dislike about you. That's just someone who's rude so their opinion counts even less.
Yes. This.
I mean seriously, who walks up to people and tells them which parts of their body are ugly? Boors.0 -
I was told by a girl in my ballet class (who is about 13 years old) that my legs almost look gross because of their muscles. Despite the fact that my muscles make me a strong dancer. I feel sorry for her and the ideal body image that's been ingrained in her head.0

I think quad muscles are sexy on women.
However, I don't see how its unacceptable to say that quad muscles are not sexy on a woman, however some people think its ok to say nothing is less attractive than a skinny person etc etc
body shaming is body shaming, and its not nice.0 -
Oh yeah? Tell 'em it goes with the well rounded, tight gluteus maximus that they can watch walk away (with a hair toss of course)
this!0 -
I find muscle definition on women very sexy. Everyone will have their own opinion, it is up to you to decide which opinions matter to you. My husband loves how my body is changing and love that I have visible muscles now lol, his friend on the other had told me that I should stop trying to look like a man. I am going with my husband and his opinion!0

People who are going to imply others are stupid because of grammatical errors really ought to take the time to proofread their own posts for grammar.0 -

Individuals have different tastes. Though I think it's one thing to say, "That isn't for me," in a general sense and quite another to tell someone point blank you don't like a specific feature. Whoever said that to the OP was incredibly rude.0 -
I kinda like em tbh.0 -
I think quad muscles are sexy on women.
Along with a well rounded, tight gluteus maximus.
Absolutely nothing wrong with a woman who has been toned and defiend because of strength training.0 -
Quad muscles are sexy on women.0
-
I'll take 'em! :bigsmile:0

quad muscles are ULTRA sexy on women!0
-
I personally think toned, healthy legs look much more attractive than the narrow, undefined legs of girls that are thin from lots of drugs and smoking.
Indeed, to each their own about physical attractiveness but I know a lot of men that think female athletes are hot.0 -
I completely disagree. I think your quads are slammin' btw. I'm working on a killer pair for myself.0

I think context is king.0 -
I'm very amused right now. I guess someone complained about my post and myfitnesspal staff sent me an email that they had removed it. Good, but I don't really care. I didn't even notice there were these forums until yesterday and that's not what I'm here for. To the people who believe they made a point or whatever I'll just say this: my opinion hasn't changed and I'm still here. You're just lying to yourselves by pretending that it doesn't exist or that I'm a non-person for expressing it. You didn't expel me, you isolated yourselves. Censorship rarely works out for the people who practice it and it's usually just a symptom and an accelerator of their own problems. Free speech wins but it's not for the weak.
This person was reported for having an opinion?? Really people, get a life.0 -
That person was speaking for themselves. I can't think of a single example that didn't belong to a steroid using female bodybuilder, where thick legs were unattractive.0
-
But ouch; I'll admit, that one stung.
I am going to be blunt with you here: then you need to work on your emotional resilience as much as your body.
This looks like a thread where you are seeking validation of your own beliefs from punters on the internet after a hurtful comment. That is perfectly understandable. You don't, however, need that at all.0 -

Agreed.0 -
I had some nicely defined quads in high school. I liked having them. Wouldn't mind getting them back. **** the haters!0
-
That's like saying tattoos and short hair aren't either. People's preferences are subjective to attraction so don't sweat it. Just sweat in the gym!

Yes, I would like to know the context.
Did it go like this?
OP: I love well defined quad muscles. Don't you?
Other person: I don't know it's just not my thing. I could take it or leave it. It's not something I notice.
OP: I think they are sexy. How can you not think they are sexy?
Other person: I don't know, I just don't don't think they are sexy. I'm not a leg man.
OP: (I'm going to post this on mfp)
See how context can matter.0 -
Try not to worry about what other people think, there will always be people who find certain qualities either attractive or unattractive. There will also always be people who feel the need to express their unwanted opinion on others, unfortunately.
I happen to love prominent leg muscles, and was so happy when mine started showing some definition. My other half agrees too, and loves it.
Ultimately, what do YOU like? That's all that matters.0
