So...what HAVE you stopped eating?

I'm just curious.
I'm not talking about "banned" foods or "bad" foods here. I'm wondering what, if anything, have you stopped eating because once you started counting, you found you didn't like it enough to spend the calories on it. No right or wrong answers
For me: Potato chips and juice. Meh.

Nothing really. There are foods I won't buy and bring into my house because I lack restraint with them, but if offered at a friend's or out for dinner I will eat as long as I have caloric room as I can be more restrained in company!0

To clarify: I didn't really give them up. If I find I have an intense craving for chips one day, I'll work it in, but so far, that hasn't happened0 -
I'm with you on chips and juice. Also gummy bears/worms. I love the things, but they just have absolutely no redeeming value to me anymore when it comes to my diet, so I don't eat them anymore. Pop-Tarts are a no, because it's 200 calories for a SINGLE one, and who can eat just one of the Pop-Tarts?? Also donuts, Starbucks, and candy bars.
I mean, if I really really wanted one of those things, I would make room for it and eat it, but so far I just haven't found them worth it.0 -

I use to drink like 1 l of juice PER DAY. I now only drink water except if I feel like having some juice
It is rare that i eat pasta now

White bread and white carbs, i stopped and replaced them by 100% whole wheat0 -

Ditto. The smell they pump out of McDonalds etc makes me wonder wtf. It used to make me think "Yum!" Nowadays, it just smells chemically.0 -

There are a lot of foods that I used to eat regularly that I now eat rarely or have at least really cut back on the amount that I have. Some examples are coffee creamer (used to use 3T everyday in my coffee now I usually only use 1 or sometimes 2), extra sharp cheddar cheese (used to eat up to 4oz a day just because I liked it, now I sometimes will have an ounce but not everyday), used to eat fast food and restaurants a lot, now we still go out to eat occasionally but not nearly as often! Basically there are a lot of examples like that. I didn't even realize it until I went back and looked at my old diary entries from 1-2 years ago and realized that I really do eat a lot differently now!0

I had to give up wheat, and doing that made space for moderate amounts of things I hadn't had in years, like Nutella.0

pringles, I could eat a tub of them every night, so because I will never work in nearly 1000 calories for pringles alone, I have decided to stop buying them altogether.0

Really trying to stay away from Cheezits which are my downfall. I can't eat one serving-usually it's the whole box in like 6 hours. And they never taste as good as they used to, so why I still crave them I don't know. I guess because they've been my favorite junk food since high school0

I mostly stopped eating processed carbs like bread, pasta, etc. They don't fill me up, and are not worth the calories for me. On Sat, I typically eat one slice of Brownberry Health Nut bread and fresh ground peanut butter for breakfast and once every 2-3 months will have some bread when eating out because I am so hungry and can't wait for my dinner. I can't remember the last time I ate pasta...
Funny, because up until a couple of years ago (pre-MFP) when I started focusing on eating things that were actively good for me (or neutral), bread, pasta and rice were stables of my diet. I don't miss them.0 -
I no longer buy Haribos candy because I am unable to limit myself to a small portion. They say two pieces of candy tastes like 100 pieces of candy, and the enjoyment is in the first few bites, but for me once the bag is open it'd take handcuffs to stop me from eating the whole thing. If I am with a few friends and we are sharing then I will eat some and not feel like I'm going to eat the packet and all, but alone is another thing completely.
I envy people who are able to eat one cookie and leave the rest of the packet in the cupboard - that has never worked for me and so I prefer not to buy them in the first place. And for the record I do not feel like I am depriving myself, I just have something else like a couple of carrots or an apple.0 -
I haven't really given up anything, but won't keep things like chips, wine, and soda.if I have chips in the house, I can't stop until the bag is gone and I noticed that even if I buy th 8 ounce cans of soda that won't kill my diet, I start to crave other foods. And wine, I drank way to much of it, and love the feeling of not drinking has on my body. I also giving up all alcohol for a month to lose a little extra weight before my half next weekend. I may actually extend it for a while longer.0

Since I started losing weight, I switched to a vegan lifestyle so I stopped eating all meats, dairy, eggs, honey. I feel so much better about everything.0

Doritos. Cheap "ice cream". Bologna and hotdogs. Microwaveable dinners. Noticing a trend? It's not that I'm counting each calorie, but since I'm paying more attention I just don't really feel an interest in eating those things. The psychological barriers of unnatural food science, large subsidies for HFCS, and the realization I can eat 2-3 times as much real food has swung the scales.
Ironically, I like pure corn syrup. I can't make my peanut brittle without it!0 -

I've cut back on a lot of salty things. I loooove salty foods, but all that sodium really isn't good for me. No more eating a whole block of ramen in a sitting, no more mounds of goldfish or cheezits or saltines or what have you. I can still eat a bit of those things, but MFP has really made it sink in just how much salt I've consumed!0

I've banned anything that gets passed thru a window. As a single guy, I used to eat two or three meals from drive-thrus. I still enjoy the fast food type staples like burgers and fries but I reserve those for meals out with family and friends.0

Nothing - but I do avoid potato chips because they are for sure a trigger food for me. I still have them occasionally but personally can't keep them around.0

For me, in the beginning, I had to give up certain foods completely, because I had not learned to control them in moderation, and to lose weight at the time, I had to go really anal.
So I haven't had a glazed donut in over a year. That is probably the last hold out of foods that give me a food-gasm and I will want more.
Brownies are a close second, but I have had them on occasion in the past few months. I couldn't bake a whole pan at home, or I would eat the whole pan in 2-3 days, but I can have one at a party now, and not go crazy with it.
Sandwiches had to go away for awhile. As did real Pizza,like stuffed crust Pizza Hut.
I have a sensitivity to grains, especially wheat, so my body needed to get away from them altogether for quite some time.
I can have small amounts now, and get away with it, but have to still watch the wheat.
My body just feels so much better without it.
I did learn to make some grain free pizzas and sandwiches that fill that void.
Rice was hard to restrict to a half a cup, and so that went away for many months. I can do ok with it now, occasionally.
That said, since introducing those foods back into my diet, I have pretty much been maintaining my weight, and not losing any significant weight.
When I get my head completely back into losing mode again, I will most likely have to cut those foods out again. But at least I know that I can maintain my weight with those foods in moderation.0 -
I don't enjoy alcohol enough to waste the calories on it.0
