My thighs are 19" and I am trying to add. I worry more about the fat. I have added 1/2" in my calves and I am so proud!0

I'm 5'3 and my thighs are 21.5. My waist is 25 ... it really depends on your genetics. At my lightest in high school, the circumference of my thighs were 3.5 inches off from my waist (20 vs. 23.5). You should be VERY glad for your thighs, especially in comparison to your height!0

thick thighs are sexy0

I wish I had 22" thighs. Mine are now 24" after 23 pounds lost, and I am 5'4".0

thighs are hot. I like the size of mine. They are pretty big for my height. I'm 5'3.5'' and my things are about 20 inches. One is actually 19.5 inches and the other is 20 inches.0

I am 37 yrs and 5'10, currently weighing 153 with a goal of 140-145. My thighs measure 24" and I'm not happy with that. I have had them down to 22" which I thought was nice. My thighs have the "saddlebag" look to them (side pouch that you can actually grab) that's just pure fat. With leg raises and cardio activity, it helps but when I gain weight, my thighs & lower belly is where I gain. I'm a small to medium frame with a smaller upper body and big hips/thighs (ie...the pear shape). I agree that our measurements are all proportionate to the rest of our bodies, so there is no "one size fits all" in body measurements. I would love to get my waist to a 28" (which I have not seen in over 10 years)...I'm currently a 31" waist. So, right now, my measurements are 36-31-40. Not an awful set of measurements, but would like to have it back to 36-28-38.0

Mine at 23" and I them0

I'm 27, 126 lbs, 5'-3", and my thighs are 22" too! I have big, strong thighs. Woohoo! I hated them since I was a teenager, until last year when I worked out really really hard, got down to 122 lbs... and they were STILL the same size! Then I decided I gotta love em. After all, curvy legs are sexy!0

5'5", 128lb. and 22"-22 1/4" thighs, they are too thick for my liking have a hard time finding jeans to go up my thighs, very frustrating. Hope to take off a few more inches..0

I guess I feel they are so big because they are way bigger than my boyfriends and I feel huge compared to him.
Does it really matter, with the boyfriend thighs/your thighs thing?
Just concentrate on your eating and exercise, it really is not a competition x0 -
There is no "normal" or "good" size, it depends on several things. First of all, what one person thinks is preferable, will vary greatly from what another person thinks. We're all different in our views.
Also, it will depend on how much is fat, bone, muscle as to how it looks. Mine are around 22-23" but I'm happy with how they are, prior to lifting and MFP they were around the same size but looked completely different (worse IMO) as they had more fat on them and weren't as solid/more flabby.
ETA that much in the same way as weight. If you're shorter, a 23" thigh may look a lot bigger than on someone who is really tall.0 -

Most women's thighs are bigger than men's naturally because 1) our pelvis is wider and therefore our femurs are at a wider distance than a man's and 2) we have estrogen receptors in that area that has many women pack on the pounds. Keep in mind you cannot spot reduce, you gotta lose fat in general to shed the fat off your thighs. My thighs were one of the things that slimmed up the most.
stupid estrogen receptors causing thunder thighs....
stupid testosterone causing brain melt...0 -
Mine are 25".0 -

Guess not. Maybe she wanted us to tell her how fat she was and that sh should go on a water cleanse.0 -
Big enough to fill up those jeans and make men think dirty thoughts.0

<~~~ I have larger thighs last measurement was 24 inches I think? My family calls them the "Johnson Family Curse" and I think my years of playing catcher in softball contributed to these tree trunks. No matter how much I lose they stay large and in charge I have a small waist... I am 5'9" waist is 29.5... I am just curvy and I have accepted my fate. I will never be a runway model and I am ok with that! I am healthy.
***edited to correct typo***0 -

LADY!!! I am 5'9" with a 29" waist and 25" thighs, too ... We are measurement twins :-)
Edited to add that my thighs are like slabs of concrete and I wouldn't have it any other way.0 -
I am 5'4" and weigh 202... mine are 22 also...
And if you were not yet convinced that there is no normal. I'm am also 5'4" with 22 inch thighs (at the largest point) but I weigh 142 pounds. I don't think my thighs are fat, I think they are strong and I like them.0 -
22" is how big mine are. I'm 5'11, 34 years old and at goal at 150. I could afford to tighten up, but I'm happy with how everything looks...
BTW, OP? At 6'4 and 135lbs you'll more than likely look like a slight wind could knock you over, no offense. At 160, you are at a really great weight. What makes you think 135 is the magic number? If you aren't wild about your body comp, I'd start lifting heavy - that's just my 2 cents...0 -

That makes a lot more sense. I couldn't understand calling 21" thighs a "curse" at 5'9".0 -
