    Another mile today. I was trying for more, but my muscles aren't used to it anymore. :( I am going to keep at it, and get my miles back up. I had been doing 3-4 miles every day or every other day in the spring. I know I can do it again.

    You're absolutely right. You can do this :flowerforyou: one mile at a time.
    But what you're doing is the right thing; listening to your body. :drinker: We don't do it enough.

    Thanks for this challenge, it's been perfect for motivating me to get back to regularly being active after my surgery. I'm so motivated that I'm constantly wanting to do more, but I know I have to be careful not to push to much too fast. But it feels great being back in this mindset again.

    Added 5 miles today on the elliptical machine. For those people who have problems with higher impact workouts such as jogging, it's ideal! Plus you get more of a burn for the time you put in. 5 miles = over 500 calories (for me at my age and height.)
    @LIESEVANLINGEN - So very true about the being easier on your joints! I used the elliptical quite often on those days where my body just couldn't take the pounding of running that day. Very similar effort and motion without the jarring impact.

    @NATWEBSTER - Looks to me like you have posting down just fine! :smile:

    @MOM2BOYS3 - Yup! Just be patient....you'll get back there before you know it!
