How do you eat cottage cheese?

I prefer savory uses of CC to sweet; the tuna ideas mentioned above sound really great.
My favorite way to eat CC is on top of spaghetti (or other pasta) and marinara/red sauce/spaghetti sauce (whatever you call it in your house). I usually buy the small cups (4 to 6 ounces) rather than a big carton, because I find the flavor deteriorates rapidly after opening.
I think you can put it in pancake batter.0 -
I like to add a little chopped onion and crumble up a few saltines over it.
or I like to add it to scrambled eggs
Will have to try it with scrambled eggs this weekend!0 -
I like to put it on a baked potato and a little salad supreme (no butter, sour cream, cheese, or other fattening toppings needed).
Sometimes cut up a nice tomato and put cottage cheese on top too.0 -
Eat it with a spoon.0

The only way I can eat cottage cheese is with Melba toast.0

You can make a beautiful salad with an ice cream scoop of cottage cheese and another scoop of tuna salad on top. I like to eat it plain on whole grain crackers. It tastes like cream cheese and the crunchy goes well with the creamy. I also like to eat it with sliced fruit like dip.0

Adding fruit is apparently really good, my dad enjoys his with peach slices.
You can of course eat it plain, as I did until I started working in a nursing home. Then I learned the "old ways" of putting pepper on it. At college I learned that it goes really well with salad as it tastes delicious with lettuce or spinach.
Cottage cheese is one of those weird foods that you can't do much with, but still tastes good no matter what you do try to it.0 -
with fruits like peaches, pineapple, strawberries, apple butter.
I am with this fruit addition nom nom
You can also add it to an omelette/baked potato (as it is not with the fruit)0 -
i have to put pepper on it for sure - dont know why - but pepper is a must - sometimes i add the mandarin orange slices - or tomatoes - but i usually eat it plain - with the pepper0

I love to mix it with a chopped up apple... or grapes0

With salsa. Or dill & chives. Or with some chicken bullion as use as a dip for vegetables/crackers.0
-
With the biggest spoon I can find.0

My 2 favourite ways:
1) with chopped grapes, strawberries, peach, or pineapple chunks.
2) with chopped cucumber and fresh dill.
Mmmmm....0 -
The only way I ever eat it is with canned fruit cocktail. My mom always made it that way and I love it. I use it in my lasagna too but, I prefer it with fruit.0
