Try Googling and Facebook stalking. Does he only see you on weeknights? Unable to call or return texts at certain time of the day? Indentation on finger where wedding band should be?

Ask him too, be up front with your suspicions.

    A wedding ring????
  • If he never invites you to his house. Or if you suggest it, he tries to come up with an alternative every time

It's never a good sign if her husband drops her off to your date.

That isn't necessarily a red flag. I won't have anyone at my house because I have kids, not because I'm married. I just refuse to have guys I'm not serious about meeting my children.

True. But what if he doesn't use that excuse?

    OP-Are you male or female?

How many dates have you been on?

Why do you suspect this person is married?

I think more information would be helpful in figuring out what's going on.

  • this is a serious post and any help would be appreciated. She hasn't invited me to her house and we've been dating for close to 3 months. also, she hasn't introduced me to anyone. i find this very strange

There does appear to be some red flags for sure.
Ask her if she has ever been married or has any kids.
What does she drive? (Hint:, an SUV or a Minivan could = married)
Call at strange hours to judge her reaction.
Others have asked you about if she meets ONLY on weekends.
We need more information in order to give accurate advise.

It's a set up. She's looking to marry you, get a life insurance policy and off you. If you're never known about by her friends or family, you won't be missed. Or maybe she's just a horder. Good luck with it though.

Won't give you a home phone number?
  • If the person is getting many phone calls that they forward while you're together.

    Easy way: ask

Slightly less easy way: check the electoral register

    ^This.
You're suspicious that she may be married. Ask her. If you do and still don't know what to think, then it's time to leave. Trust builds a relationship. Suspicion breaks it down.

Maybe she's embarrassed to have her friends/family know she's dating you. Not that you're unattractive, but maybe you're not the type of person she wants others to know she's attracted to. Or it isn't as serious as you think it is. Maybe she dates others. Maybe shes a serial killer and hides bodies in her freezer.

    Ask her?

I think just straight up asking her is the only way to settle this. If she becomes upset, cite the reasons you've noted here (not meeting any of her friends, never going to her place, etc.)

Won't give you a home phone number?

Meaningful 10-15 years ago, mostly irrelevant today. Home phones are becoming more scarce.

    1. a ring/tan line
    2. takes calls privately
    3. doesn't sleep over (if you're intimately involved)
