I just saw this for the first time today, and I wanted to say I love the slow and steady theory! I've lost 2 lbs in 2 months, and I'm not too upset - at least it's not an upward trend anymore! Happy holidays to all :-)0

Wanted to get to 142, as I'd like to be 140 by Christmas, but turns out all the little illnesses I've battled were because I had Glandular Fever! So, I've been off Cardio for most of November. and bed ridden for 2 weeks!
2lbs in a month is ok for what I've been up against. Still fingers crossed for that 140 goal, but no pressure!
Slowly but surely. I'm also lifting (5x5 program). I have lost some inches this month!0 -

Goal met and surpassed!!! Thank you so much for starting this challenge. It's really helped me stay on track and give myself a goal to work for every week. This has been incredibly helpful towards my goal and I still intend to keep losing the weight slow and steady. When I was 140 about 3 months ago, my goal of 125 seemed so far away, but now I'm so close to it. I'm still going to see if I can lose another pound by New Year's, so that I can surpass my goal by over a pound. Once again, thank you!0 -
Checking in with another pound lost so now I'm 184. Current long term goal is 160 which I may change to a lower weight now that I've found MFP.
Wow, I didn't quite expect to lose any weight this month as I've gone to a few finger food parties due to the holidays. I just get right back on track the next day. Impossible to log food at finger food parties. I just hit lots of the veggies first but I must have my wine!0 -

129.2! I'm more than 1.5 lbs under my goal weight! I started at 138.8 and can't believe that I've lost over 10 lbs in 3 months.

I met my Christmas goal of 140, however over the holidays I've gained 2lbs. I've started lifting so will be looking at inches as well as lbs. I'm down 1 inch.
That said, My Goal for January is to be back at 140, then 139 by valentines day (10% lost, since joining MFP, 35lbs overall)0
