Whole30 is really restrictive ( no dairy, grains, legumes, sugar, alcohol), but in a normal healthy eating month I'd also buy/use: whole grain bread, cheese (Brie, feta and others), Greek yogurt, milk, brown rice, quinoa, farro, honey, agave nectar, dried beans, bacon, Ice cream/ sorbet, wine and probably some other stuff I can't think of at the moment.0 -

* = sometimes on monthly shop0 -
My boyfriend and I will mix it up each shopping trip and buy at least 1 or 2 new or different vegetables to try, and usually a new meat as well. These, however, are our go-to staples:
whole wheat (or light rye) bread
whole wheat wraps
quinoa
brown rice
instant oats
walnuts or almonds
deli turkey breast
chicken breasts
ground turkey or beef
white fish fillets (Usually snapper or tillapia. Fresh, and then frozen at home. No packaged, breaded stuff.)
salmon (Fresh as well.)
shrimp
flaked white tuna in water
unsweetened almond milk
coconut oil
extra virgin olive oil
salad dressing (poppyseed for me, yellow pepper for him)
tomato pasta sauce
eggs
greek yogurt (coconut for me, vanilla for him)
cottage cheese
unsalted butter
herb and garlic cream cheese
marble cheese
feta cheese
apples
bananas
pears
pineapple
grapes
white onion
green onion
peppers (red and green)
broccoli
cauliflower
sweet potatoes
zucchini
baby spinach
avocado
carrots
squash
tomatoes
cucumbers
frozen berries
honey
natural peanut butter
cereal (usually shreddies, or whole grain cheerios)
granola
Obviously we don't buy all of these things all at once, but we try to keep them all on regular rotation in the kitchen. When we have the money, some of our favourite 'treats' are oysters, scallops, eggplant, cherries, corn on the cob, more expensive varieties of whole grain bread, and red wine. We can usually find it in our budget for the red wine.0 -
Eggs, fresh veggies, mixed greens, chicken, fish, raw/unsalted almonds, low glycemic fruits, oatmeal, low carb wraps, weekly buys for me!0

Have now done some research and decided to add sesame seeds and cashews to the list to have every few days for their health benefits. Need to find some roasted in their own oils instead of cotton oil and in the case of the sesame seeds, not spoiled by the addition of all kinds of flavorings they don't need.
Also adding flax seed this week, as I simply can't afford grass fed beef and I read the Omega 3s and 6s get out of whack.
Vitamin D, because I don't get enough sunlight.0 -

You just reminded me I forgot nut butter and cheese! Two of my favorite things!0 -
This is the list I sent roomie to the store with. I'm took lazy to edit out all the notes.
Right as you walk in on your right [Produce] ::
Green Onion - a few bundles.
Red Onion - four.
White Onion - one bag.
Corn on the cob -- ONLY THE KIND IN THE BIG BIN WHERE YOU PEEL IT OFF. -- Did not make it home, not in season!
Clementine mandarins [These come in a bag of like 30 - they're like little oranges.] -- He came back with oranges or something. Whatever, we'll eat them anyhow.
Kiwi [I'm not sure if you know what a kiwi is - some people don't - it's a small, brown FUZZY fruit - it's about the size of an egg.] -- Yes, he knew exactly what a kiwi was.
Blueberries
Strawberries
Raspberries
Avocodo [it's a better deal to get six small ones - versus the bag of large ones]
Artichokes [Get two for me and Harmony, and two if you want some.]
Two BAGS of Fresh Spinach.
Already Been Peeled Garlic [This is in the refrigrated fruit/veggies section -- ask if you don't see it.]
Pears
Bulk Food [just past Produce on your RIGHT]:
Honey Vanilla Granola
Honey Almond Granola [These may be the same thing, but just get one that looks delicious. I don't like cinnamin or anything nasty.] -- I don't know which one he got; kinda scared to try.
Stash Tea [Harmony likes the Chai [red package], I'll take some Chamomille [yellow package], Fran likes Green Tea [green package]. Get 20 of each, and get some for you.
Dairy [On your left past bulk foods]:
60 Eggs.
One big tub of Blue Bonnet Butter
2 things of DARIGOLD [PLEASE do not get anything else!!!!!!!] Cottage Cheese - 4% - it can be LARGE or SMALL curd.
Gallon of Milk - 2%.
Shredded Cheese Four TWO POUND bags - Colby Jack, Monterary Jack, Cheddar - whatever. PLEASE don't get Mexican or Italian blend. -- He came back with something like TEN of the small bags.
String Cheese - ONLY the Hytop Brand - this comes in a blue and green package - a blue strip on the bottom, and a green stripe on top. -- Wrong string cheese, giving it to the neighbor.
Yogurt [I only like the kind for kids - especially those ones where you mix the stuff on the top in - especially Oreo!!] - Daniables - still good; will put in smoothies.
Frozen [Just behind dairy]:
Frozen berries - ALL of the fruit he brought home, besides pears was frozen.
Frozen Mangos
Frozen Peaches
Perogies [Those pasta potato things] - I PREFER the mini ones, so grab a couple boxes of those, but if they have the FAMILY PACK of the large ones, that will work.
Vanilla Ice Cream [try to find something low calorie/off brand/cheap - I only want it for smoothies] -- Decided I really don't want this, will possibly share with neighbor.
Tillamook Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream -- for him/girlfriend.
Tony's GARLIC BREAD [This looks like a pizza, but it is just a garlic bread. MAKE SURE IT IS GARLIC BREAD, AND NOT CHEESE PIZZA. I'm hoping to have this for dinner, please find it.]
Dry Food [Behind the cheeses and stuff]:
One box of Stash Acai Berry. - Never made it. ;[
Two boxes of Nature Valley Sweet and Salty Nut Bars - PEANUT ONLY. - Don't think this came.
Blue Powerade Zero - a few of them.
Litehouse Ranch [I think they may have a low calorie one, but just work with it] - Three bottles. - He got some other ranch, still looks good.0 -
