Wait. People make lists?
I usually just walk through and buy what tickles my fancy while I wait for my son to get off of work.0 -
I really like these lists. Very helpful.0
-
in for ideas - nothing to really add as these lists cover pretty much everything I'd buy as well. Nice to have them all in one place though0
-
Here's my list separated into weekly, monthly and every couple of months purchases.
Weekly:
- Eggs
- Cheese
- Bananas
- Bag of lemons
- Seasonal fruits (right now it's McIntosh Apples, bosc pears, oranges/tangelos)
- Avocado
- Garlic, onions, green onions
- Lettuce mix
- Celery
- Spinach
- Cucumbers
- Baby carrots
- Beet roots w/greens
- Dandelion greens
- Fresh herbs (depends on the dinner list for the week...usually rosemary, thyme, parsley etc.)
- Lunch meat (sometimes) - lean turkey or chicken breast
Monthly:
- Steel Cut Oatmeal
- Large Unsweetened Almond Milk
- Large Original Almond Milk
- Butter
- Turkey bacon
- Plain unsweetened yogurt (not Greek)
- Boneless/skinless chicken breast
- Hamburger meat
- English muffins
- Frozen shrimp
- Kashi Blueberry & Oats cereal
- Oatmeal Crisp Triple Berry cereal
- Olive Oil
- Assorted frozen veggies and frozen fruits
- Natural peanut butter
- Natural almond butter
- Panko breadcrumbs
- Bagged popcorn (not the microwave kind)
- Fresh and frozen cod
- Ginger root (I remove the skin, cut into pieces, freeze it and use as needed)
- Unsalted almonds, cashews and walnuts
- Goji berries, wheat germ, maca powder, chia/flax/hemp seeds
Every 2-3 months or so:
- Nutiva Organic Virgin Coconut Oil
- Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar
- Hemp protein powder
- Whey Isolate powder
- Malted milk powder
- Peanut flour
- Brown pastas
- Hibiscus flowers and hawthorn berries in bulk for my daily homemade tea blend
- Spices that need replacing/replenished (can't live without Italian seasoning, Greek seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder etc.)
This is just a basic list. Other items depends on what I'm in the mood for and what's on sale that week. My partner eats completely different (he's a meat and potatoes guy and can handle sweets and treats in the house - I'm the opposite) so when we go grocery shopping our cart looks so confused.0
