What could you eat everyday and still lose weight?

I have a few meals and snacks I use as my go-to but could use some new ideas!
Some of my favorites are:
baked salmon with couscous and sauteed peppers/onion
pasta with red sauce and 1/2c low fat cottage cheese
Scrambled egg on a corn tortilla with salsa and avocado
Cajun jambalaya (add a jalapeno!)
Salsa chicken
What do you love? What should I add to my list?

Saaaame.
But one of my all-time favorite meals that I have for breakfast any time I have the time, is eggs in a hole. Its where you cook your eggs inside pieces of toast with butter. It's SO GOOD and it's pretty healthy, always fits into my calorie and macro goals very nicely

ETA: That recipe is just the basic idea, I modify it slightly to make it a little healthier.0 -
I eat everything I want and lose. Nothing is off limits. :bigsmile:0

If I could eat pad thai EVERYDAY and cheeseburgers with sweet potato fries I would. NO JOKE! However, the healthier options would be pineapple cottege cheese(not much healthier I know) and hard boiled eggs.LOVE THEM! or bananas.
Okay lets go hardboiled eggs and bananas with almond butter. yup I am sure I could eat those everyday. :bigsmile:0 -
Yes, I understand we can eat anything in moderation and still lose, the point was to gain new recipes...
The egg/toast idea sounds yummy!0 -
I usually make a 4oz Tilapia fillet with garlic and crushed red pepper and lemon. Then eat it over brown rice. It's filling and really low calorie.0
-
You could really eat anything as long as you are eating at a deficit. Just fit it into your day.0
-
mmm tilapia sounds good!
and @rather my friend cut up banana, melted almond butter and dark chocolate, dipped the banana pieces and froze them... delicious!0 -
I make breakfast sandwiches with my sandwich maker... The best 30 bucks I ever spent.

It probably wouldn't be wise to eat this all day every day but it's my favourite soup recipe at the moment. Can't wait to make another batch this weekend.

I will have to serve this to my husband !! He loves his yoke like that.0 -
Anything...I just fit it into my calories and macro goals. No particular food makes you fat...consuming more calories than your body needs makes you fat...consuming less than your body needs results in your body dipping into energy reserves (fat stores) to make up for the energy (calories) you are not eating.0
-
Yum! What do you put on them?
Anything you want. I usually put cheese, bacon and egg. Sometimes I will add a slice of tomato. It even makes great lunch sandwiches like grilled cheese.0 -
Vitatops 100 calorie muffin tops. SOOOO good...and filling too!0

You don't mean quinoa or oats, do you? You want to hear that we eat cake and cookies and such and still lose weight, right?
It's all a balance. Low fat dairy and proteins and of of course fiber. There's room for a little treat but not a LOT of treats.0 -
One of my new faves for breakfast right now is 2 over-easy eggs, on brown rice, covered in salsa verde. Kind of a "healthy" huervos rancheros. The yolk and salsa coating that rice is so yummy!
Also love pork tenderloin or chicken breast, seared in the pan, then roasted in the oven after covering it with dijon mustard and thyme. Mmmmmmmmmmmm!0 -

- instant oats with honey, walnuts, cinnamon, and chopped apple
- a piece of light rye toast topped with butter, tomato slices, red onion, and an over-easy egg (with fruit on the side)
My go-to lunches:
- spinach salad with cucumbers, onion, red pepper, feta cheese, turkey breast and poppyseed dressing
- A sandwich on light rye with mayo, mustard, turkey, cheddar, spinach, onion, and tomato (side of bell pepper strips)
- a bowl of quinoa with ANY vegetables, cheese, and lunch meat chopped up into it
- Tuna salad (flaked light tuna, mayo, green onion, salt, pepper, hot sauce) wrapped up in butter lettuce leaves, and an apple
- Egg salad sandwich (egg, mayo, salt, pepper, green onion, hot sauce) on light rye, with carrot sticks and tzatziki
- Pita bread with hummus, and an apple with peanut butter
My go-to dinner formula:
ANY vegetable tossed with oil and spices and roasted + ANY meat seasoned and pan fried in coconut oil + Any grain or starch
(One of my favourite dinners is roasted cauliflower with smoked paprika, pan fried red snapper, and quinoa with feta.)
I hope this gave you some ideas! Friend me if you'd like to see my food diary. ^_^0 -
