    I don't think a "cougar "is necessarily a woman over a certain age but instead is a woman who only dates and pursues men several years younger than herself. jmo

    Maybe what I was trying to say is "cougar" is kind of insulting to call a woman who just happens to be over 40. If a woman "deliberately" limits herself to men much younger than herself is what makes her a cougar.
