    Today -

    1) That I have a decent salaried job that allowed me to spend two hours at the walk-in clinic (with a diagnosis of significant osteoarthritis in my left knee and major swelling)

    2) My health insurance has a $100 deductible that I probably hit with my x-ray pics today. (Yippee! Well, not that I have a bill coming from the health facility, but at least the rest of my medical expenses are 100% covered for the rest of year.)

    3) My boss let me leave work at 2 pm due to the roads starting to get slick and a blizzard warning that started at 6 pm. I have a 26 mile Interstate drive out in the middle of the flattest prairie land in the world.

    Grateful to have a roof over my head, a warm bed and food to eat.
    I volunteer with a group feeding homeless people in our local area, and nights like tonight out there (was a bit of an emotional one!) really make you stop and appreciate everything you've got, and just how quickly it can all disappear.
