I'll weigh on the 1st.
In Alberta, and we have had a lot, a lot, of snow. We had warm weather which only melted some of the snow, and then it got cold again; therefore, now we are dealing with very icy pavements and roads. Very hard to get walk safely. I have noticed my walking had been cut down considerably because of the conditions. Waiting, and waiting for Spring!

For Fun: What has been the most interesting part of the weather for you and how does it affect your ability to exercise?
Northern Colorado has a habit of being absolutely fabulous one day, and a complete disaster the next! I tend to stick to the gym for the winter months. There is no way I'm going to be out on a bike with ice and snow and winter drivers! I do spinning classes and strength training at the gym, and some strength training at home with free weights. I've been working on my plank the last month - not so awesome. I know if I don't keep up the pace in the winter months - whatever it takes - then I won't be ready to hit the road in the Spring (when it finally gets here!)0 -

Count me in too! I started on MFP years ago, and had some good success with it. I started at 132kg, and got down as low as 115kg. Various things happened though, and I had a baby last September. I'm now at 133kg, and it makes me really sad because I'm finding I can't get down on the floor to play with my son. I said that this year, I'm really going to get myself fit and healthy. I owe it to my son, my husband and myself. I want to have a long and active life with my family, and I want to set a good example of healthy active living for my baby. I can no longer keep letting myself give up. By this time next year, I'm going to be a fit mum, with cool running shoes, who doens't dread the summer because she can't wear cute shorts and dresses and swimsuits. I'm going to embrace everything, and really live the way I want to. But to start with - February. I'll convert my kg weight and goals to lbs so as to keep in line with everyone here. Also, I'd love some more friends to motivate and help keep me motivated, so if you're in the same boat, hit me up!

I know this look like a lot of weight to lose in one month, but I've found in the past that when I've started sticking to my calories properly, the first few kgs go quickly, so I don't want to set myself a goal that will be acheived in that first round of water weight loss. This is the month it all really begins for me!0 -

I love spring and summer...some fall but winter drags me down. I love walking outside after work and on weekends, but the sun is already setting by the time I get home in winter time, and I don't walk by myself when it's dark outside. Give me sunshine and warm weather.
