    I missed this last month, jumping on for Feb. I'm 10lbs from goal so 5lbs would be a miracle but I'm going to push hard and see what happens.

    I put on a lot of weight while pregnant and wasn't able to lose it for a long time. I still have 20 more pounds to go til I'm at my pre pregnancy weight. I have needed something to keep me motivated. Oh yeah my son is over a year old so can't use the baby weight excuse anymore. I hope I'm able to keep to this This month :)

    You might want to check out Jillian Michaels book "Making the Cut." I just started her 30 day shred program and it's pretty awesome!

    Sometimes the simple approach is the best approach. I haven't counted calories in years and I was horrified to see how much I was really eating when I finally started keeping track a week ago. No wonder I was over 200 pounds! I enrolled in a gym and I really look forward to going, which is another shocker. So I'm hoping that when my birthday rolls around in November, I'll be able to burn all my size-22 clothes and be happy in size 10 (which is as thin as I want to be - I like my curves).

    Thanks for setting up this group! I'm looking to connect with others for support and motivation. Have been struggling to get back into a workout routine since before the holidays. I've been letting exams and illness "distract" me. Haven't weighed in for a while, as my scale is acting up. Guess I really should invest in a new one.

    Weigh-in date: Feb. 1/14 - 173.6 pounds

    Am starting over and want a brand new challenge and new inspiration. If I'm faithful logging in here this month I may lose the weight I've been struggling with, want to lose almost 20 pounds. Would welcome old friends and new.

    The weather here in Edmonton, AB Canada is colder than some parts of the world, and there's snow and ice on the sidewalks and roads. My doctor doesn't want me to run outside in the wintertime, so I've signed up for Running Room's indoor clinic. We have treadmills in a small gym here in the building where I live, so I can use the treadmill indoors until spring. Hope to lift weights, too, and perhaps in the spring learn to ride my bicycle.
