One of my faves is a spinach and turkey omelette!
2 egg whites
1 large egg
1/2 cup of spinach chopped
2 slices of turkey lunch meat chopped
1/8 cup sharp shredded cheese
Mix all ingredients together minus the cheese, throw in the skillet, add cheese and cook like a normal omelette! Add a side of fruit and you have got a winning breakfast!!!0 -
Weekday:
My own "instant oatmeal": 1/2c quick oats, cinnamon, 1tbsp raisins, 1tsp brown sugar in a ziplock bag. At work I pour it into a bowl and add boiling water.
A couple hours later I have a Luna protein bar. Total cals is about 380.
Weekend:
2 slices of wheat toast with 1tbsp of either PB or jam (or both!)
2 eggs over easy, cooked in butter
2 slices of microwavable bacon (cooked in the pan with the eggs)
Total cals is about 500.0 -
Oatmeal, chia/flax/hemp seed mix, and pineapple, mango, and banana added. Tropical deliciousness:glasses:0

I made egg cups!
While they baked, I had a fiber one bar and a cup of coffee with nonfat creamer.
8 eggs
3tbsp bacos
2tbsp diced pickled jalepenos
Spray a muffin pan with cooking spray. I have one that holds 6 muffins, and this fit perfectly. If you add more ingredients (asparagus, mushrooms, tomatoes, tofu, etc) I'd use a larger pan.
Set oven to 375. I use a convection oven so maybe set it to 390-400 for conventional oven.
Mix 4 of the eggs with yolks, the whites of the other 4 eggs, and the mix-in ingredients. Whisk well. Pour in muffin pan divots all the way to the top. They will rise a bit as they cook and look kind of like popovers. I baked mine for 10 minutes then checked them. Then 7 more minutes in I poked each with a knife to open the tops and let the still-runny middles get more heat. I finished it off with 5 more minutes in the oven.
Super yummy and super filling. Each one is about 100 calories, only because I used part of the yolk in each one. Egg Beaters would make it better, but I use free-range eggs so I deal with separating the whites.
I'm a big fan of baking frittatas with spinach/leeks/peppers/tomatoes/apsaragus/etc. Pretty much the same as above but in a 8-9" cake pan. I add diced firm tofu to get more protein and stretch the recipe out. I eat that for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.0 -
Half bagel, 1 egg, 1 slice canadian bacon ( I make the egg and c bacon in microwave for a quick out the door bfast sandwich). Keeps me going til lunch time.0

Cheddar Omelet and Maple Sausage patty0

Weekend (ie: when I have time!): eggs - usually scrambled on a slice of toast with spinach and mushrooms or soft-boiled with toast and marmite. Or porridge with a spoonful of peanut butter and some berries.
Weekdays (when I leave the house at 6:30am): whey protein shake. I LOVE the banana flavour ones made with water but have recently tried unflavoured protein powder with cold instant coffee (made the night before and kept in the fridge) with milk and a dash of cinnamon: MMMMM. I'm a convert!0 -
I usually have either porridge made with water with blueberries, yoghurt with sesame seeds and sultanas, omelette with mushrooms or tomatoes or grilled bacon and mushrooms.
Veggie sausages at the weekend but they taste so awful you need a dash of ketchup :-)0 -
2 eggs, half a grapefruit, and turkey sausage is my go to breakfast :-)0
-
green tea and a protein bar - it's a crazy busy morning.0
-
Small handful of frozen blueberries, small handful of chopped up frozen strawberries, half a small banana, 200ml of almond milk and a little squirt of honey - wizz in a blender for delicious fresh breakfast smoothie!
I can't really eat 'proper' food early in the morning so this smoothie is perfect for me!0 -
Hi. I love the banana pancake idea. Thanks.
I take a little bowl, rub a drip of olive oil in it and crack an egg and pierce with a fork. Pop in the microwave for about 40 sec.
or however long you like it and place on a bagel thin with arugala (spicy greens). You can put turkey bacon or a little 2% cheese.
Quick and easy...0 -
This morning I had a serving of Kashi -Go Lean cereal with 1/2 cup fat free milk and I added 8 unsalted almonds and 1/2 cup of sliced banana to it...yummy!0
