Blend til creamy and enjoy!0 -
For those who think spice is the variety of life, when putting nutmeg in your smoothie DO NOT be generous, you only want to add 1/4 tsp, unless you want your smoothie to just taste like Xmas. Take your generosity out on the cinnamon instead.0

At the moment it's apple's....
2 Fuji Apples, Chopped
1 Cup Red Seedless Grapes
1/2 Cup Organic Apple Juice
1/2 Fresh Lemon, Seeded and Chopped
Like I said, at the moment because apples and grapes are easy to put my hands on.
I got some out of the Smoothie Bible, some from juice mixes I like, others from experimenting. My 3 "go to" fruits are apple, banana and pineapple.
Edited because I can't spell today.0 -
300ml skimmed milk
4 Ice cubes
1 tsp instant coffee
1 scoop protein powder (not coffee flavour)
1 tsp good quality cocoa powder
Blend well
It's like a healthy Starbucks.0 -
I like to keep it clean, simple, and green. A standby is
- 2 cups spinach
- 1/2 an apple (chopped, frozen)
- 250 mL almond water + 250 mL water
- 1 TB Chia seeds
You can swap out the apple for any fruit you have handy. Also, if you run out of almond milk, a TB of almond butter blended in with 500 mL of water will do the trick!0 -

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie is a favorite right now!
1/2 C canned/fresh pumpkin
1 C unsweetened almond milk
1/2 C low fat Greek yogurt
Cinnamon to taste
Handful of ice cubes
Blend until smooth! I also will throw in a scoop of vanilla protein powder if I am drinking it post workout.
Yummy! I'll be trying this. Wonder if a baked sweet potato would work. I have some of those in the fridge.0 -
I like to mix a handful of kale (1/2 to 3/4 cup), handful of spinach, 1/2 a banana, 1 cup frozen mixed fruit, natural applesauce, 1/2 cup orange juice and about a cup of water, then mix. Sometimes I will add 1 tablespoon of chia seeds, or some protein powder.0

I have no idea what the measurements are but my favorite combo currently is:
1/2 avocado
pineapple
spinach
fresh mint
honey for sweetening
I think most fruit with fresh mint is awesome.0 -
Thanks for all of the great ideas! I had a green smoothie at a cafe recently, it had spinach, pineapple, banana, and some type of coconut. I really enjoyed it.0
-
1 cup baby spinich
1 banana
0.5 cup frozen mixed fruit (it's mango, peaches and strawberries these days)
1 tbsp ground flaxseed
1 cup regular Coconut Dream
Sometimes I'll throw in a scoop of vanilla Vegan Protein+ protein powder or non-fat plain Greek yogurt, but I'm usually good without.
Add water while blending to achieve desired consistency.0 -
1 cup frozen fruit (strawberries and blueberries are my fav!)
1/2 banana (really helps the texture)
1/2 cup almond milk
1/2 cup water
handful of spinach
Or when I'm getting ready to splurge or binge on something sweet...
1 cup of ice
1/2 cup almond milk
1/2 cup milk
1/2 banana
2 tsp. cocoa powder
1 tsp. honey0 -
Cheesecake Smoothie
1/2 cup almond milk
1/2 cup water
1 scoop protein powder (I use graham cracker whey, but could use vanilla and throw in a crushed up graham cracker)
1/4 cup cottage cheese
~50g of fruit....whatever flavor you desire: pumpkin, blueberry, cherry, raspberry.....
Sometimes I make espresso cheesecake and use cocoa powder and instant espresso powder
Pumpkin pie smoothie!? Holy smokes, I am all over that come tomorrow, thanks for the idea

I put the following in my bullet blender, 1 cup frozen fruit, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 1 Tbls oat bran, 1/4 cup fat free greek yogurt, honey to ur taste, then fill the remaining space with coconut water, yummy no matter what fruit I use.
Mix your fruits up to find the combinations you like best, my favorites are raspberry banana, blueberry peach, strawberry
sometimes I will use some fresh orange juice instead of the coconut water0 -
1 frozen banana
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1 tbsp PB2
1 cup almond milk
DELICIOUS!0 -
I'm not going to claim mine is the healthiest of smoothies but my default is:
1/4 cup frozen strawberries
1/4 cup frozen blueberries
1/4 cup frozen raspberries
1/4 cup frozen peaches
1/2 cup plain 0% fat greek yogurt
1/4 cup low fat milk
1/2-3/4 cup (as much as needed to make it sippable) orange juice<-the low sugar calcium kind.0 -
This is my go to smoothie as of late, and you really cannot taste the spinach at all!
3 cups of fresh spinach
1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese
1 cup water
1 frozen banana or 6 oz frozen fruit( or you could do a combo!)
1 packet of stevia0 -
These all sound so good! I have had good luck with freezing avocados and adding to my smoothies. I just peel, seed and put the halves in a ziplock in a layer. They freeze really well and a half an avocado makes a really creamy addition to any smoothy, and you don't need ice. Even if you don't like avocados, you will never know it's there.0

4oz of unsweetened vanilla almond milk
4oz of vanilla greek yogurt
one ripe (and frozen) banana
1 cup of spinach
1 scoop of french vanilla protein powder
1 tablespoon of white chocolate peanut butter.
Delicious and holds me over until lunch!0 -
I'm sure most people would think this is gross, but I love it. The fiber in the sweet potato and beet with the cocoa powder reminds me of a think milk shake.
Chocolate beet smoothie: makes about 32 oz.
Blend in turbo blender:
1/4 raw beet
1/4 raw sweet potato
1 frozen banana
1 tsp cocoa powder
1 tsp instant coffee powder, or a shot of espresso
A few dashes of cinnamon and of pumpkin pie spice mix
1/2 cup almond milk
Water
Handful of ice0 -
Saving for later0
