okay, so we have intense cardio/running/lifting/ and QFT..... I don't know what that is

AND I agree, a good workout beats chocolate, BUT if you must indulge it is 20 Burpees per piece (Burpees must be done before each piece)
So I googled burpee and they make me do those on P90X3!! NOT EASY!

I went through a painful divorce last year, I ate my way through the pain of it. As it was close to becoming final, I joined a Boot Camp program. I found kickboxing to be very therapeutic. I hate to admit, I imagined the bag was him, but I kicked and punched that thing harder than I thought possible. It helped me relieve a lot of stress & anger, and keep me away from the bon bons.
My dad used to tell me when I was having a bad day, that my track record for surviving those bad days is 100% so that's pretty good.
I'm pretty sure the same is true for you Hang in there, this too shall pass!!

Who says you have to lose weight first? Get out there and enjoy yourself, won't matter what weight you're at because the incredible person that is you will shine through while out enjoying yourself.
Sorry about the breakup and yes, I try to become an emotional exerciser instead of an emotional eater during times like that. The feel good effects of the chocolate will be quickly replaced by feel bad feelings for eating so much. You won't have that if you go and do some cardio, and/or lift weights.0 -

definately do something like the kickboxing or anything punching related - use it to take out your anger/frustration. Great stress release - does wonders for your mind and body. and DITTO, best revenge is served cold so work on that kick *kitten* body and move on girl!0

punching bag is the best stress reliever ever! its like 100 bucks and so worth the money! when u r lookin smoking hot when u run into him in the future thats the best revenge! the right person is out there for you. you just havent met him yet!0

Haha... this! But seriously, I find drinking hot tea (or even plain hot water) is a pretty good technique for me to keep from binging on candies. Add a bit of lemon or sugar if you need.0 -

Which will include fruity martinis and tasty junk food and a piece of cheesecake the size of your head. Bonus points for getting massages and/or your hair and nails done.
And then tomorrow you can exercise, get stronger, and get on with your life. Break up chocolate is a right, not a privilege. One day of heartbreak and wallowing will not kill you. And then you can use all that sadness and anger and turn it into getting smokin' hot for bikini season.0 -

I am sorry about your break up !! I myself am in similar situation. Do not let anyone or anything control you but you. It is still one choice at a time. do not go to the store hungry, make a healthy list and stick to it ! Exercise and keep positive thoughts !! You can do it . !!!!0

I usually go to zumba, or kickboxing and pretend its his face I'm punching/kicking.
Plus the music is really loud so I also scream obscenities at him.. it feels great

I agree with this. I was really depressed about this time last year, and put on meds, but nothing felt better than the runner's high I would get when I would jog. When you get done you'll feel like a champ. And don't let not feeling motivated stop you from giving it a try, break that negative cycle!0 -
Give yourself 3 days to grieve, then pick yourself back up. Give yourself 3 days to make yourself sick, get it out of your system, then keep going. But only those 3 days. You have to tell yourself that you can watch all the Nicolas Sparks movies you want, eat all the chocolate ice cream you can, but then after those days, say "I'm done grieving, I'm going to live my life normally again."0

Omg, do you realize what this means?! Sweet freedom!!! Go forth and live life. There is NO reason to seek out another relationship, right now. Break ups are THE BEST for finding yourself, again...and doing whatever the hell you want to.
I know. I've been married, twice (currently married), and I just know that men and romantic relationships are overrated. Don't tell my husband that. haha!0 -
Sorry to hear about the breakup. And the cravings. I did a lot of comfort eating and became a bit of a hermit after my divorce. Wish I hadn't. But I did.
Once the greiving is over with, look at it as an opportunity to end up with someone better suited to you who will make you happy. And in the meantime, be kind to yourself and do the things you enjoy doing. Get your laughs in. Surround yourself with people whose company you enjoy. Spoil yourself with some quality alone time (bubble baths and good books/movies/music/hobbies). Get out and walk, don't give up on being active. And if you must fall on top of a chocolate treat, develop a taste for good quality dark chocolate . I find I can get my fix in a square or two rather than a whole bar. Have it with strawberries or a few toasted almonds. It won't break your caloric plan, but it might take the edge off the craving.0 -

Eat chocolate for like a day or two! Get it out the way and then go to the gym and release all your anger out. Believe me you will feel better doing it

This is your answer. Do something that will make you feel great! Truth is you will probably be hurting for a while and that's okay. Just don't ruin your body because of it, okay? Some people end up gaining all their weight from depression. Good luck!0 -

This weekend will be hard but I will exercise, clean my house, read, watch TV and sleep! I wish it were nice out.0
