My legs are slimming down so much but upper body still feels huge. I have a giant ribcage that doesn't seem to be going anywhere.0

this thread def helps. i sometimes feel that no matter how much weight i lose i will never get rid of my belly! even in HS while i ran cross country & did weightlifting i had a belly
now i'm 5'4, 153 lbs and still - ALL my fat is in the tummy and upper back..ugh!
i was weightlifting for a while and love it but didnt see the results i wanted... i gained a lot of muscle (120 out of those 153 lbs are muscle!) but still am not physically looking thinner. switching to high intensity cardio and bodyweight strength training for 40 min, 5 days a week... wondering what you successful apples did to lose weight that was most effective??0 -
Congrats to you all! You look great0

I have hypothyroidism and uterine fibroids. There is hope of going from apple to hourglass... i think i can call myself hourglass now!
168 lbs Summer 2011, and 133 lbs Summer 2013
Thank you for the inspiration. I too have a lot of uterine fibroids with chronic anemia, and I really miss my flat abs from a couple of years ago. Myomectomy is not even an option anymore, it's so bad now. But I'm not open to hysterectomy due to the potential side effects. Man, fibroids suck. :grumble:
I'm new here and just starting out with cardio and tracking what I eat. So far, so good. And posts like yours really give me a boost. You have a great bikini body now - congrats! I hope to get there soon myself. Working hard for it! I'm wondering, just how much ab crunching did you do? I'm hoping that if I can get the muscle area there more solid, maybe it will "pull in" my poor swollen uterus. Any advice?
