    I say both. I've thought my husband was a sexy beast from the 1st day I met him, and vice versa. He thought I was a beautiful when I at my heaviest. In fact I met him one week after my Junior high school prom (I wore a size 20 dress). Anyways he became my best friend, and he helped me come out of my severe depression. I also haven't thought about suicide since we've been together, because he truly makes me happy and want to live my life to the fullest. Going on 12 years together, and he's still my sexy beast!

    In a relationship? Never one or the other. Always physical emotional and intellectual. Physical will carry you for a bit. After that you better have something more.

    Emotional connection because once that connection is established much of the time physical chemistry comes with it, but I don't think you can really separate the two. In saying that I am rarely attracted to someone without an emotional connection.
