fitness.
and with fitness comes fashion.
but i'm doing this for myself.0 -
deffinitely for the aesthetics but when i dont work out, my body doesnt feel right and my diet gets outta control so now its both0
-
Definitely fitness. Have some health issues where losing the weight is reducing the medications I need to take daily. Want to lose more weight and lose all the medications.0
-
goes both ways for me... fashion for fitness because i am a personal trainer and need to look good on the floor.. and fitness for fashion cuz i wear a certain brand of clothing and i need it to work for me when im working out and training!0
-
I would have to go with Fitness first, considering the thing that started me down this path was not being able to keep up with a lot of my friends. Although if I'm being honest, I do loooooove that feeling of looking awesome in my skinny jeans again!0
-
Neither. I like to push my limits. Fitness and fashion are a byproduct of that. Most people would say I do it for fitness.0

Ha according to that article I am perfect then -_- 5'7" and 170.2lbs .. I could take it further and say that my WHR (waist to hip ratio) is a perfect .70 (seriously). But why is it that I don't feel perfect?
I look in the mirror and I see big thighs that I hate, I can't find pants that stay on my waist but are big and comfortable enough to cram my thighs into. Girls are walking around in skinny jeans (which I think are ugly personally) and this is what is considered fashionable.
I want to lose wait to be able to FIND CLOTHES that FIT. I want to lose weight to feel like I'm healthy because I surely don't feel like I am because my clothes are in the plus sized section of the store or not available at all in some (France).0 -
My goal is to run faster for longer, jump higher and tackle harder.
Any questions?0 -
I have to say Fitness because I am a diabetic ...but the ultimate goal is Fashion because I am vain0
-
Mainly, fitness! I am a dancer, so being fat was holding me back from dancing to my full capabilities, i was very self conscious and uncomfortable! I am losing weight, mainly for that. But if i look good on the way, i am more than happy!0

I'm so close to 1912 ideal! Thing I'd have trouble finding jeans to fit with a 30 inch waist and 40 inch hips, though!
Levi's 515.
<- 35, 29, 410 -
Definitely fashion, however i don't feel that I am pressured into thinking any certain way about my body. I want to lose weight because I don't like the way I look, I couldn't care less what anyone else thinks:)0

I have a 29 inch waist and 46 hips, even whe thin I had the same ratio. I've just given up on trousers all together.0 -
Fashion, for sure. (although I've never heard it referred to as "fashion")0
-
Both actually..i mean you gotta admit....the nice clothes are for small people BUT i do look like an Adonis so i need some muscle and plenty of lean cuts so when the fashion is gone there are no complaints0
-
fashion. but i'm tapping into the fashion, through fitness.0
-
Fashion. I am tired of always being left out of cute new trends because of my weight. I wasn't overweight to start with, but because I was average build most of the boots, dresses, and tops that came into style just didn't look right on me. I have to be thin.0
-
Fitness. I want to be healthy, energetic, have no pain, disease and take no pills. I also want to be professionally and romantically desirable and to fit into my old clothing.0
-
FASHION but Fitness comes into play also0
-
Hmm toughie, but fashion is probably first. I started working out because I wanted to look good, but now fitness has also become a part of it - I love feeling good too!0
-
A little bit of both for me. I want to look amazing, but I also want to be fit, strong, and fast.0
-
Fashion.
According to the "1912 article" you found, I'm practically perfect. :happy:0 -
Fashion. I'm already quite healthy.0
-
Fitness.
Fashion is a happy byproduct for me.0 -
It's not either/or for me. I want to be able to tackle some really tough physical challenges, but I also want the sex appeal.0
-
Fitness. Everything I do related to diet and exercise is focused around overcoming my horrible genetic predispositions. And if I end up looking better because of it, that's a bonus, of course.0
-
Fashion. I don't want to have to cosplay as bulky male characters any more. If fitness comes as a by-product of my weight loss, then it's an absolute bonus.0
-
If I'm being honest I started out with my goal being fashion. After being at it and yo-yoing for years it has become more about fitness, and how much better I feel (both in & out of clothes) when I stay on track. It is no longer a journey I am taking for others, but for myself (& a little bit for my fiancé! :blushing: )0

"Its all about Sex baby!!!"
You need fit to look fashionable.0 -
My main goal is to feel great about myself. There are a lot of factors that go into that. Looking good (according to MY definition), being strong, feeling energetic enough to do the things I enjoy doing, being "healthy" ... those are all part of it. I don't feel the need to put them in any certain order of priority.0
