how many calories are you tall girls eating?
I'm 5'9 and eating about 1700 calories on average, more if I exercise.
I'm 6' 183 lbs to get to 160 lbs.
I have a fitbit and am trying to lose 1 lb a week.
The MFP goal is 1860 before any exercise. Usually I can eat 2000-2100 cals if not more on an average day (I have a fairly active job)
I am 5'11 starting weight was 186 (as of Jan.1 2014) I workout six days a week and consume at least a gallon of water every day. I eat about 1,250 calories and no more. To lose weight you need to burn at least 500 calories a day. This was direction from my trainer and I have already lost 10 pounds in a month.
That's great, but probably not sustainable, eventually your body will go into starvation mode, and your metabolism will be lowered so much you will find you will stop seeing any progress. I'm 5'10, 18 years old, and weigh about 162. My daily calories are 1510, and that's with the 500 calorie deficit. Unless you have a very sedentary lifestyle outside of the near-daily exercise, your car is going to run out of gas. :frown:0 -
I am not sure how to post photos but here is my weight loss story and I still have a lot to go.
In 2009 when I got married-240-245lbs
When I gave birth to my youngest son I gained a ton of weight and didn't lose very much after. I even began working out and still didn't lose but 5lbs.
2011 I got diagnosed with Hypothyroidism-304lbs
Started MFP in January 2012 but didn't stay on for very long-293lbs
Started back on MFP December 2012-288lbs
Current Weight-244lbs
4lbs to go until my first goal! I am 31/32 in April, 5'7 (I get told I'm tall), long torso, wide hips, big ole booty, 40DDD, large body frame.0 -

Holy moly girl, you look great! Keep up the excellent work!0 -
Jen... you've already seen my before/after shot, but I'll share it again for others participating in this thread.
I'm just a hair under 5'9" and currently weigh 136 lbs. I suppose I have a mixed frame - my shoulders, pelvis and ribcage are all spacious and would lead you to believe that I have a large frame. But my ankles, elbows and wrists are all quite delicate/tiny and fit within the measurements of a small frame. So, who knows...
In the 'after' photo below, I weighed about nine more pounds than I do now.
thank you for this! I am 5'9 and was looking for reference point so this is perfect.0 -

I could have sworn I'd posted in here before...
Anywho! I started here at 245 lbs, but was probably heavier as I had gotten a little smaller before I joined. I was afraid of food, very self-deprecating and unhealthy. Now, I'm only 12 pounds from my main goal, self-confidant and healthy! I'm no longer pre-diabetic, no longer have high blood pressure or high cholesterol and have so much energy.
I'm 5'8" and fairly active. I'll eat anywhere from 1200-2200 calories depending on how much I move that day, for those wondering. I also have days where I don't care about being at or under goal and I don't feel guilty about it.
Fun fact! When I started, my measurements corresponded to a large frame. When I measured myself when I got to about 170, I discovered I was small-framed. Mind blown.
So, before:

I'm 5' 9.5" and currently 129. Highest weight (while pregnant) was 157, and I have a borderline large frame. I'm currently working on building strength and getting back the muscle definition I had before getting pregnant (baby was born 3 months ago).
You look good! Im 5'9.5 and I got down to 137 once... I looked like skeletor...I think I would have disappeared if I got to 129 - but you wear it well!0 -
I am 5'9.5 - I prefer to think that I am "normal human sized" as opposed to my freakishly short 5'1" best friend who is "fun sized." I hate hearing the word "big" when people refer to my height. I am not BIG, you are just SMALL. Duh1

I am 6ft even and currently weigh 317 and am in a size 20 comfortably. At 360 I was in a size 24. I went to a weigh loss clinic and they said what I truly believed my whole life. I am never meant to be under 200 lbs. They did a full composition and my bones, muscle, organs etc alone weigh 175 lbs. The gave me a goal weight of 220-238. I have been 220 before and I would look sickly under that. At 220 I wear a size 13 and a large in everything long enough to fit me.0
