I have a low calorie creamy caesar! It's Bolthouse Farms Caesar Parmigiano yogurt dressing. It's delicious, and only 45cal every 2 tablespoons. I only use one tablespoon, and it is more than enough. I highly recommend it, it's fairly cheap and you can get it at Kroger.

Yes, this ^^^ ! I've tried several of the Bolthouse Yogurt dressings and they're low in calorie and very tasty. There are several varieties. I use the ranch as a dip with my raw veggies every day, and I use the Honey Mustard, Caesar Parm, and Balsamic Vinaigrette on my salads. You can usually find them in the cooler section of the produce department.
  • 100% please try this dressing! It's super low calorie and is SOOOO good!!!

Try a few tablespoons of light-fat-free mayo (it's like 25 cals a tablespoon)
and an equal amount of vinegar
1 packet of splenda or sweet and low
some pepper and there you have it!
mix it together and you get a yummy dressing!!

It's similar what is in cucumber salad or macaroni salad!! It's honestly better than any normal dressing I've ever had. : )

I vote yes to pretty much all of these suggestion. Walden Farms has a lot of really good products.

Side note, do you put your dressing right on your salad? If so, try keeping it on the side and dip your fork in it with each bite...less dressing consumed=more calories to eat later.

I'm a ranch girl. I used to drown my salads in ranch (not so healthy!) so I've learned to put 1 tbsp. of really good quality ranch AND 1 tbsp. of either Newman's Own Lite Balsamic or Ken's Lite Northern Italian. DELICIOUS.

P.S. I tried the Walden Farms ranch and thought it was disgusting. But their BBQ sauce is really good.

To be honest I eat regular dressings when I have salad - to me if you control the amounts you use it's worth the extra cals to allow myself that (crutons are way worse calorie wise than dressings).

But if I were to use a vinegarette I would use the Kraft calorie wise Italian dressing I think it's only about 5 cals per tablespoon or something like that.

This I would definately try - its similar to one my mom made (minus the low cal fat free and she used to use sugar lol) but I always loved it!

I like renees mighty garlic ceasar, tho the last bottle I got was the low fat version for half the calories. I think I prefer the full fat version and it likely has less chemicals.

I also do a simple splash of balsamic vinegar with garlic, dill, fresh pepper, maybe oregano. If I have spare calories ill use a tsp of olive oil. Delicious. Someone meantioned adding blueberries to this and that sounds so good! Ill do it with frozen mixed berries!

I'm interested in trying a homemade ranch dressing, sounds really good!
So many salad ideas love it.
  • Make it yourself. One tablespoon olive oil, 1/2 tablespoon good red wine vinegar. Salt and pepper. For a variation add a teaspoon or so of Dijon mustard or a few squirts of Worcestershire sauce. If you add both, it tastes like caesar dressing for a fraction of the calories. You can make multiples and leave on the counter (no refrigerator) for up to a week. Better than bottled!

I must be the only one but I really don't like salad dressing , it's far too sweet for me and ruins the great taste of the salad.

However you could combine some garlic, olive oil and some herbs to make a nice and light dressing.

Or olive oil with mustard seeds.
